Apparently the Animax dub is broadcast in East Asia as well...

I wonder if anyone knows how many episodes they've dubbed, or where to get this

*cough* please? *cough*

Jing wrote: Monica Rial, voices Lyra in FMA, could easily make her voice just a little higher for Haibara and use Lyra's voice for Shiho.

Works for Funi already, and oh it could be so perfect...  :'(
Well her voice for Lyra wasn't that great to begin with so I can't see doing Haibara's role.

It would work with Shiho, easily. And I thought it was pretty good.

She's a good VA but her voice had to much depth for Lyra. The original portrayed her right, a bit a depth to bring attention to her minor tomboyish details( in the episode she was introduced) but also she kept her voice level at the right level so not to mask her dominant feminine features. Rial did a better role later on when
Spoiler:
Lyra was taken over by Dante
due to the depth in her voice fit the wisdom and age Dante would have.

So in short what I'm trying to say is she really either makes her voice to soft and "yay I'm happy" or she does her standard voice which has to much depth for Haibara or Shiho. She needs a VA that can pull off the classy feminine charms Haibara has without sounding high pitched.

Do they really need to sound like such little kids? Kino in Kino's Journey sounds like she's 30 years old, and I couldn't really give two shits.

Shiho has PLENTY of depth, and yes I agree that she was better as Dante-Lyra (lol) but she was only in, say, two other episodes before she was Dante. I say that voice without being squeaky, but at the same time sounding lighthearted when it has to (which is rare, really), would be great.

The Animax channel with English dubs in Asia is not currently airing DC.  If they still did, it would be much easier to find a sample.  Anyway, I would like to hear the Animax version as well because I thought they and Funimation were related & used the same English dub.

I don't think that's possible... unless of course someone records it. But why would they make the effort if they can find the original online? XD  :P

I think Animax releases DVDs of some of their series, not sure if they have any DVDs of Detective Conan though. Someone should contact Animax and get Conan back on.

I've just watched an episode of Case Closed. Is it me or does Conan sounds like a girl?
