Edit: Seriously, this sucks! I've just watched few parts from episode 522, the drawings are bad most of the time. Did they change the anime team or something? I'm clueless. -_-

That last screenshot is from 522?  I usually wait for the sub to come out before watching it, but just glancing over this episode, I did not see that last frame at all.

O.o Serious? I don't think Akikan is that bad. It's not terrific, but at least Melon doesn't look like THAT. That has to be the WORST (minus the oldies) anime production drawing I have seen on a character that's been drawn a lot. Ok, maybe not, have seen some Naruto that is quite comparable, but still!

They've been drawing Conan so long they forgot how to draw Shinichi! Haha!

Seriously, there were other episodes that were worse than this. Why make a big fuss over this, especially Shinichi's "melted face". All of you should know that they use special effects for that. They didn't draw him that way.

521 was nicely drawn. It's the same as the other latest episodes though.
Maybe we should watch 522 before judging. It's better seen moving...
but still, what happened?? the first few screenshots were.... XD

After watching 522, it wasn't so bad. The animation was pretty awful, but the shot where Shinichi has the long chin is only there for like a millisecond. Hopefully the later episodes will have better animation

Wow, that's so true. And black blood? Now that's new...I think the artists went on some sort of weird permanent break or something.

I've watched the 522nd episode this afternoon and I was soooo shocked by the characters' faces that I took screencaps of some of them. I couldn't take them all !!X D

The black blood doesn't surprise me.  They've started doing slight censoring since around 515 or 516.  Not entirely new.

I think the black blood might have to do with the murder case from last year. This case got "School Days"'s last episode canceled and some airing stations didn't air "Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni Kai". What happened was that a 15 year old girl used an axe to cut her Dad's throat in his sleep. The police at that time believed it was the cause of Higurashi because she was a fan of the show. They canceled the last episode of School Days because it has a scene that is eerily similar to the murder. They stopped Higurashi because of a scene that happened in the previous season. A young girl used an axe to [ Cut for gruesomeness]

So, it was no pretty. And they did use black blood when they finally aird the last episode of School Days BTW.

Yes, 521 was very well done. To be more precise, the first part of 522 is...okay. It gets worse when Shinichi starts to accuse Makoto, and it doesn't stop getting worse til the end of the episode. XD So the first part of the episode is okay, but the other parts had my eyes burnt .__. Especially after such a good job on 521 !...I hope they get better on 523 XD I don't want the Ran holding Shin's hand scene to be screwed up XD

All in all though, I'm sure it'll come out good, everybody has there off days right?
