No, Yoko's manager was the reason behind everything... (Kind of).
Yoko stilled liked the guy, and the guy still liked Yoko. But the manager did something to drive the guy away.

And Yoko thought that the guy dumped her.

Recently the guy said he couldn't live without Yoko, but I think the manager told the guy Yoko didn't wanna see him.
So he committed suicide in her apartment.

I'm not sure if he was trying to frame Yoko, or not. I don't think he was.

I might have gotten part of my story wrong. It's been a long long time since I've seen the episode.
I think he was struck with some serious illness....

And pretty sure he tried to frame her because he made it look like a stab in the back, and holds on to her hair, IF THAT'S NOT FRAMING, I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS :P... caps accidentally on ^^ srry
Are you sure? I pretty sure it wasn't Yoko's hair. It was the other girl's hair.
The other girl was breaking into Yoko's apartment AGAIN, and he thought it was her.

When she tried to run, he grabbed her hair.
That's when he committed suicide.
Nahh, it was Yoko's hair he took from the brush, he didn't get the other girl's I think

But the act of trying to make it look like a murder, was clearly to frame Yoko...

Yeah, I don't understand why he would want to if he truly loved her.
I guess it wasn't true love, it was just something he wanted.

I felt bad for the culprit from episode 507-508. The victim killed his son, which broke my heart.

If only the culprit let the victom live long enough to kill Sonoko.

That's what I was saying. He had the other actresses' hair in his hand. Not Yoko's.

He had Yoko's hair in his hand.  From her comb.  He deliberately took strands of Yoko's hair from her comb...  Or so Conan's reasoning went (contingent upon finding his fingerprints on Yoko's combs/brushes).

See, Commi-Ninja knows what I'm talking about!
Oh, I need to rewatch the episode again. I thought the other actresses' hair was in his hand.

Please tell me you did realize that was Absidoodle. and not Commi? :P

Actually that's an interesting thought. What happens if they get that brush back to the police station and don't find his fingerprints on it? And that could go for a lot of cases, too. I mean, they're all just basically taking Conan's (well, Kogoro's) and the criminal-of-the-day's word for it that it happened exactly as they said. Conan/Kogoro (in several cases) didn't actually see it happen and the criminal is usually a murderer - what makes the police think they're not going to lie about what happened?

Does that make any sense at all?

I knew. That's why it's scratched out. (I didn't edit the post)

Yes it makes sense. It's possible that the wrong culprit has been arrested and gone to jail.
But why would you admit to murder, when you didn't commit it. Unless you're hiding something.

Okay, just making sure. ;)

Well, people have confessed to crimes they didn't commit before, for various reasons. The most common reason I've noticed is to protect someone that they either know or suspect committed the crime. But yeah, in a lot of cases, all the evidence is circumstantial and the only real 'proof' they have is the "murderer's" confession.

The killer in the final third of Desperate Revival. He was smug beyond imagination.
Detective Movies Contest 2013: Information Thread  Current Faceoff

"The energies of our system will decay; the glory of the sun will be dimmed, and the earth, tideless and inert, will no longer tolerate the race which has for a moment disturbed its solitude. Man will go down into the pit, and all his thoughts will perish. The uneasy consciousness, which in this obscure corner has for a brief space broken the contented silence of the universe, will be at rest. Matter will know itself no longer. 'Imperishable monuments' and 'immortal deeds,' death itself, and love stronger than death, will be as though they had never been."
