seriously just watch the Kogoro Reunion episode and see how much he ruins the awesome "Kogoro will find which one of his friends is the murderer no matter what" scene.

Doesn't mean he can't "act". Even if it fits the character, it doesn't mean the person with the voice is good at acting.tantei okuoku wrote: I think he fits Richards personality. also I know something about the dub all of you probably don't. they have not worked on it in years. I found that out from richirds VA. in other words I highly doubt that the same VA where used for the game that are used in funimations version of the anime. I am not shocked that you all hate the dub of case closed since this the forum for the fan-sub of DC, AKA I hate all english dubs except evongalion and cowboy bebop.

lol did i sound like i was flamin? i got nothin against haibara, its just wat i sed is her personality.Girl19 wrote:Dude, relax! Well I'll admit I wasn't expecting much when you stated she had the "perfect" voice for Haibara but now I have to agree that this voice would be better for Haibara than the current voice(which isn't saying much). It is still far from "perfect" due to it being far too soft and I'm just assuming, but if she tries to add more emotion we probably end up with what we currently have..without the prissy overtones of course.kkslider5552000 wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aDjmN5wl4K0TheBlind wrote:You got a clip of this voice actor using the "perfect" voice for Haibara?kkslider5552000 wrote: ok, I really want to know why they chose the perfect voice actress for Haibara, and than decided to make sure she uses a voice that doesn't fit the character.
I'm starting to think that whoever is the most involved the Conan dub needs to be fired. NOW.
As of now, her voicing anyone from DC seems like a stretch.
Watch 3:07 -3:23. I think with a little more emotion (and less blatant whispering too =P) it would be perfect (her role here had no emotion at all, but that was the point in this case). Of course, I haven't seen that much of the Black Cat dub...
...of course if the voice works but the acting doesn't, it would fit perfectly in the dub!![]()

Just use the Japanese versions and using voice synthesizer software make them speak English. It seem to me that the Japanese version of the characters are right on!

Yeah, they did the same thing in Animax. That's why I still prefer the original since the voice for Conan and his thoughts are the same. It's somehow confusing for people who just happen to watch DC for the first time.GinRei wrote:That was Shinichi, not Conan. Conan's voice was that of a grown man! It doesn't suit the voice for a child. I would definitely stick to the original!

lol Well she's not a *****, and if Haibara's annoying then she is the least annoying girl in DC (compared to Ayumi or even Ran). =DRellik wrote:lol did i sound like i was flamin? i got nothin against haibara, its just wat i sed is her personality.Girl19 wrote:Dude, relax! Actually, I like Animax's english dub of Detective Conan. I also like the way they use Shinichi's voice to express Conan's thoughts. I think that style adds more "Shinichi presence" to the show.kat1214young wrote:Yeah, they did the same thing in Animax. Well, the others' voices were still aweful.

P.S.: I haven't watched Funanimation's DC dub. Is it bad?
