Just because he's not a female, and he doesn't wear a skirt, and he doesn't have any actual powers besides hitting people with a cane and throwing roses, he's still the guardian of earth, and he also had the star seed of earth.

I was gonna say the exact same thing.

Actually, had Sailor Moon been created in the recent years, it seriously could have been a crappy harem. Back then (thankfully) harems werem't as used as now. I'm just glad that it was never even suggested that it could be a harem.

But (without counting any other male characters) we did get some "male" dose from Uranus, Fighter, Healer and Maker.

I've watched enough of Sailor Moon to know everyone besides him was a female. The male dose I talked about was just from the episode where Haruka was mistaken for a male, and the fact that throughout Sailor Stars, the Starlights disguised themselves as males.
The only regular male characters aside from Mamoru were probably Rei's grandpa, the guy who worked at Rei's temple, Usagi's father, Usagi's brother and Motoki.
