The thing is after the 100 time Ran started suspecting out of the blue, the 10000 time Conan impersonated someone without anyone noticing that they're not moving their mouth, the 11241515810 time someone gets killed in a flashy misterious way, it stops making sense. I still love the show for all the fun it has provided to me, and I appreciate the genius behind it, but the premise wasn't eternal, and it's starting to wear out. The show needs to evolve to keep viewers/readers interested, and those BO cases (along with other sort of episodes that introduce variations) are the ones that provide that.

Obviously, there are a lot of non-BO cases that were awesome and memorable, the long ones in particular, but probably because they included some of those variations I'm mentioning, like the participation of Heiji, something affecting the regular characers (not the 1 case only characters), a new gadget (we haven't seen one of those since the ball producing belt, I think), etc.

But you said yourself. More Bo will only end up the same way. A better way to do it is him helping those investigating solve it. To me it is the method of the crime and playing detective that is important. If lots of BO cases shown up, then the BO would become predictable. A secret Orig. should be well secret. The more they show up, the less secret they become. Is it possible to unlearn something?

As long as the resolution of the 1124151580 cases make sense (not involving any supernatural creatures and devices), I don't mind. Nobody ever complained about Christie's Poirot facing so many murders in so little time, that's just the point of detective fiction. Seeing it wear out or not is a matter of opinion, I still think Gosho's able to come up with creative cases. Besides, BO cases also follow the same path almost every single time (BO comes, Conan & Co. fight, BO leaves + new member added her and there), it's just that they're rarer.

Since Gosho took a trip to Germany, Do you think is possible that Conan and company will be going there. If so are they going to need passports? If so Hairaba might be forced to make a command performance.
I doubt that. London aka england will be the european expection in the manga, germany thrown into this two would make too much trouble.^^

The difference between Conan and Poirot is that there's no overall plot connecting the individual cases in Christie's novel. After so many years I just yearn for the finale.
After that, Gosho may continue the series until death do us part.

Well, the arc was introduced as "European chapter". A trip round the old continent doesn't seem all that unlikely.

Maybe this will kick-start the Adventures of Shinichi/Conan and Agasa across Europe and Asia, and hopping a fishing boat from China back to Japan!   ;D

I feel like most people will be disappointed by the finale not only because of their expectations but also because it's been awfully predictable since the beginning (Shinichi and Ran end up together, the BO is defeated, everyone lives happily ever after). Detective Conan's strengh, at least according to me, isn't the plot which Gosho seems to consider as secondary seeing the pace of the progression but the diversity and the originality of the cases.

I don't know about Poirot, but there're only a handful of Holmes cases. We have surely seen a lot more Detective Conan cases, than Holmes' cases were written. On top of that, Conan cases are quite structured. A group of new characters is introduced in a particular situation (let's say party), one of them does something stupid, like go take a walk alone, and a moment later someone finds him dead and screams like a girl, everyone rushes to the scene, the usual police officer shows up (Megure/Yamamura/Yokomizo), Kogoro starts pointing people out at random, Conan notices some casualy placed hint, points it out, no one will think anything new until Conan discovers the next hint. After that, he puts Kogoro/Sonoko/Yamamura to sleep and starts solving the case using his/her voice, or Agasa's voice if no one's available. This all was very original 300 episodes ago. Now it's just repetitive.

Also, BO episodes won't become repetitive if they go somewhere. Up until now the story has advanced. At first we knew about 2 guys dressed in black that extorted this corrupt CEO, and poisoned Shinichi. Now we know there's an Org, that it has a leader, that it has several varied activities (biochemistry, IT, inteligence, murder, etc.), that it's been going around for a while, we know several of it's members and all their names and most of their ways of action, we know the FBI and CIA has been investigating them, and we have a mole. Our main character befriended one of its fugitive former members, who happens to be the scientist that was investigating the poison he took. We also apparently lost the most apt agent fighting against them. If it keeps advancing, it will eventually lead to a conclusion, not to repetition.

I'm still confused as to why you post in the manga discussion topics if you only ever watch the anime. :P
