Something I noticed and found strange about the dub:
Spoiler:
when Ponyo was taken away from Sousuke and Lisa had to carry him up from the beach and he was crying - they cut to the Japanese audio and that's the Japanese voice actor sobbing instead of Frankie Jonas.

because crying is universal and franckie probably couldn't do it well.

Just got The Borrower Arrietty movie soundtrack. It's pretty awesome.

Has anyone in Japan seen the movie yet? I heard it was pretty good.

I chose Mononoke Hime... But it is a tough choice... My top three are pretty close... Princess Mononoke, Howl's Moving Castle and Spirited Away....

But a honorable mention must go to Grave of the Fireflies... If you don't know... You haven't seen it...

I heard that Grave of the Fireflies was amazing but also immensely depressing, which is why I have yet to watch it. I've read the plot summary and nearly cried from just that. :O

I think that is one of the few movies that actually did move me to tears.... It is just a powerful movie... Everyone should see it...

There's a reason that it's the Most Triumphant Example on the Tearjerker page on Tvtropes. It's a powerful, beautiful and incredibly sad movie that should NOT be missed. It's the perfect proof against anyone who says that anime is just kid's cartoons. Anyone and everyone will cry watching it, but you won't regret seeing it.
