Not sure if anyone else asked this before, but isn't Ai's drug supposed to work only when Conan's in a flu-like state?  :-\

Edit: Ah, I see someone raised the question regarding the drug's effect duration, but I'm wondering whether it would work at all without flu symptoms.

Nope, I don't think he'd need to have a cold in order for the drug to be effective. Though, that applies to the alcohol Heiji gave him.

I already confirmed that he doesn't have a cold - the sneeze on the plane was in reaction to Ran and Kogorou talking about him up in First Class

I'm curious as to how Ai is going to manage to make a permanent antidote, in the end, if the duration of the cure's effectiveness keeps dropping.  On the other hand, it didn't wear off as quickly as expected this time, so maybe that's a good sign?

Nah, you're just talking about what They did in the Crossroad in the Ancient Capital (I think) .... with Ai's "cure" for the APTX4869 there's no need to do that.
