does anyone out there know what will happen in manga chapter 677
i am so desperate to know
like i never knew jodie was so obsessed with akai
but yet
i thought he was long dead
so WHAT just happened with the guy at the bank with a burnt face too?
this just got real confusing

I've been going over this recent chapter, but this case doesn't have much in the way of clues. It's mostly seems to be about exposing Jodie's feelings for Akai. A huge irony, right before this chapter was released in translation. I was thinking about Jodie's feelings for Akai. I was a bit dismissive of the idea that Jodie could of been in love with Akai. I just kept thinking back to that moment she cried over his death. The name she called out was his given name with a lack of honorifics. That was interesting, but she is American so I thought that it could of just been that sense of informality we use in the US. This chapter does show her feelings.
I am more shocked that Akai is possibly in love with Jodie. He never let her in on any of his plans and never seemed to be that concerned when she was injured or ticked.

I'm more interested in the crime we have going right now. It's not often we have a crime in the act to work on. This really feels like the bus hijacking case.
One of the first issues I noticed about the bank is how the lady, ahead of Jodie, was confused about why she wasn't allowed to use her cell phone at the ATMs. It makes sense to me. With cellphone cameras today you could possibly get someone's account/ PIN numbers. It's just asking for bank fraud.

That's when the gun goes off. There appear to be five robbers, one with glasses. Most are holding hand guns, revolvers and semi-auto pistols; and one with semi-auto rifle. Though it seems like the size of his ammo clip changes sizes.
The strangest thing that they have said so far was, "Listen up! If there's someone you know or brought along, they'll be brought to you!". How could they possible know if some people came together in such a crowded bank? My initial thought it that either someone is standing outside as a watch out, and kept track of how many people entered and who they were with. That, or the robbers watched everyone entering before they burst in.
I would not be surprised if the fact Jodie zipped by Agasa and Haibara plays a role in these events.

About this person who appears to be Akai sitting next to Jodie. For the time being I'm not too sure this is the real Akai. Not until he says something that he would know for certain. far as I know this could be the man 'Bourbon' in some kind of trap. I just find it hard to believe that Akai would be so foolish to walk around without a disguise when he's suppose to be dead.

I thought it was kind of odd how I was reading some people thought that Akai was really disguised as Rena. Just from seeing that picture of him in the last page. It's one thing for a woman to disguise herself as a man, ala Vermouth; but it's a lot harder for a man to disguise himself as a woman. It's easy to make your body look larger, but you can't easily make yourself look smaller.
I think people saw that black hat and thought or Rena. She's always shown wearing that hat now.

Seeing how things are hinting at events that surrounded Akai's supposed death. I feel like I should share my theories on that matter.

Agreed, since this would not only put himself in danger, but Rena too.

Akai has probably shut himself down since the realization that he was the cause of Akemi's death.
Looking at the flashback, it's pretty clear that Akai x Jodie had had a kinda romantic relationship; how else could he ask to "end it" with her ?

Regarding Akai = Rena assumption, I think it's just the drawings to blame.

its just soo complicated with all these people dressing up as each other making it harder for us to figure out

This is my guess: this Akai look-alike really was Akai. As for why he was wandering around, was because he lost his memories. The reason to his amnesia was because the case in "Clash of Red and Black: Death on Duty".

As of the corpse (whom Takagi keiji confirmed it was Akai's) in the same episode... I have no comments -_-"

For Mizunashi Rena, I think she was O.o; but it was definitely a >= for the BO

Maybe in the episode "Death on duty", there is another fingerprint on Conan's cellphone aside from Conan, Akai and Jodie.

Maybe the one who died in the car was somebody else.
