So pay 2x as much, get a lot less for equipment(WAY outdated), have a bitch of a time trying to find the programs you want from windows, never be able to do your own work on the PC itself(have fun shipping it to apple for repairs), and still have to deal with viruses......
thats super advice...for rich nubs with too much money, and i dont think the OP is either.

that article's 4 years old, and its a fact that there are a lower amount of viruses just because people are lazy and don't want to make em for it, thus technically making them safer.Walbuls wrote: So pay 2x as much, get a lot less for equipment(WAY outdated), have a bitch of a time trying to find the programs you want from windows, never be able to do your own work on the PC itself(have fun shipping it to apple for repairs), and still have to deal with viruses......

Just sayin. I don't like macs either, but sometimes people gotta do what they gotta do.

Re: Security Tool Virus
the only problem with that is that people who get macs will then tend to not protect their computer, thus screwing them over when something does hit.ranger wrote:that article's 4 years old, and its a fact that there are a lower amount of viruses just because people are lazy and don't want to make em for it, thus technically making them safer.Walbuls wrote: So pay 2x as much, get a lot less for equipment(WAY outdated), have a bitch of a time trying to find the programs you want from windows, never be able to do your own work on the PC itself(have fun shipping it to apple for repairs), and still have to deal with viruses......

Sure, you could take steps to properly protect your mac, but then you could also get a PC and properly protect that as well.

Macs are overpriced garbage. If you want your computer to look nice, or if you are a graphic designer/video editor, get a Mac. If you care about your computer not being generally terrible, then get a PC (or go Linux).

Man will go down into the pit, and all his thoughts will perish. The uneasy consciousness, which in this obscure corner has for a brief space broken the contented silence of the universe, will be at rest. Matter will know itself no longer. 'Imperishable monuments' and 'immortal deeds,' death itself, and love stronger than death, will be as though they had never been."

Does problem still exist? if you can end internet connection. Rerun your scans. Look in windows directory for new files with a exe extention. If you are not sure about a file in either windows or system32 directory then do properties on it. Maybe get either winpatrol or start right to control your startup files. clear all browser caches and cookies. After you are sure you are clean wakeup the internet. Super Antispyware and Malwarebytes Antimalware are in the antisyware area. Are you running an antivirus and are you running a firewall besides windows firewall?

But ever since. There's a rectangular/square white box on my desktop. (It's above the icon).
