OVA 1: Nice, but a little too wacky for my taste. It flowed well and is definitely worth watching.
OVA 2: It's an interesting premise that tries to develop on the standard Conan formula with some very respectable writing, and comes off as a recommendable watch.
OVA 3: This OVA is good. The story seems to be a decent one on the surface level and works out well throughout the episode. There are a few enjoyable moments, like the "alternate" Detective Boys' first appearance.
OVA 4: Definitely the best in my opinion. Originally a manga with only Kid, the OVA development team did a nice job of including Conan but not making him overshadow Kid. Very nicely done.
OVA 5: This one is... a little embarrassing. I mean, it's obviously catered directly toward the younger audience of Shounen Sunday, but c'mon
OVA 6: The whole diamond plot is really great... when you first hear of it. When you actually watch the OVA, you realize that it probably took them an hour and a half plus breaks to write the script to this. It's worth watching, but it could have been much-much better. A close-encounter with Kid and Hattori would have spiced things up a bit. Some of the scenes in the OVA just kinda seem like they were put in to fill the run-time--at least to me.
OVA 7: Meh, another one catered toward the younger Conan fans. There's a lot to like about this OVA, but there's also a lot not to as well. It does flow well, I'll give them that.
While I think half of the OVA's are "really good" and the other half are just "good enough," don't get me wrong: they're all worth a watch.
