So how will I know when I can stop?

When I scan SAS and it finds nothing?

Yes when your scans come up clean, its a good sign you have killed it for good.

Did you download and install Malwarebytes? Its really a great tool, just as powerfull as SAS and can catch things it misses(they can both catch things the other misses, since there virus definitions are built by different people).


Be sure and start in safe mode each time. Restarting into normal can allow the virus to rebuild itself depending on how its built.

Okay, should I download Malwarebytes onto a drive or straight onto my PC?

Also, I don't know if it's F8 or F11...
If I restart it, and press the wrong button, and it goes straight normal, then the virus might regenerate...

not more virus proof, just less targeted. Also, Linux is not something every program is built to run on that ran on windows before. Its not really an OS a novice should play with. When simple terminology is confusing, trying to teach Terminal commands ect.. is gonna be a bitch.

True enough, not to mention getting the games which compatible with Linux is a pain in the as*... Trust me, i know..  
But when you get used to it, I'd say Linux's more enjoyable than Windows...

In the end, the best way to avoid virus is not an almighty anti-virus tools..  

Just stay away from suspicious website. Also don't forget to disables the pop-up windows, do not run suspicious .exe files, avoid clicking spams message, and always set to show file extensions in your windows explorer..

you can download it on your dads and transport it on the flash drive then install it and update it on your PC.

neither button will send it straight to normal, so just keep pressing both for now. When you have it clean, you can test it out by only trying one so you would know for the future.

Edit: lol i wasnt sure if it was F8 or F10, the only key i know is to get into my BIOS for tweaking


Also the Comodo all in one package looks like what you want. To expand on what i said earlier, it also uses Sandboxing. Which in a nutshell means that it creates a virtual environment, that is completely self contained(what goes on inside cant interact with your PC without Comodo's approval) for new suspicious tasks(the things running in your task manager) even before asking what you would like to do. So it pretty much never lets anything in without your approval.

Im out for now, hopefully the tools said here will fix it for ya. If it still shows up after many restarts and runs/deletes, your gonna want to head to a virus forum for professional(if you want to call it that) help with more powerful tools.

Okay, SAS finished and removed 3 spyware.
I restarted and kept pressing between f11 and f8, but it went to normal.
Do I hold them down or what?

So I held the power button and it turned off. And it asked me if I wanted to boot in safe mode.
(Is that bad? Holding the power button to turn off my PC?)

Also, I'm about to run MalwareBytes.

Basically your computer didnt shut down normally so it gave you that screen(The screen that shows up with F8), dont shut it down like that if you can help it. You keep pressing them as you turn it on and as it boots up, press and hold doesn't work.

You can run SAS and Malewarebytes at the same time or back to back, then restart. You dont have to restart after each one, but you should after running both.

Hmm, sounds bad, I hate viruses, if your computer can recover and be 100% clean after this, I really think you should get a top of the line anti-virus software, even if you have to pay money.  I use Kaspersky and it's pretty legit.

To be honest, I've actually never truly wiped out all the viruses from a PC when it's been infected, it's incredibly hard to make sure your 100% clean, the best option truly would be to reformat.

Both malware scans just finished, and neither detected any viruses/malware.
So, I restarted the PC and started normally... and BAM. The virus.

Doubt it, I dunno what conficker actually does, but fake antivirus viruses have been around a lot longer than conficker.

Though you're actually lucky if you got infected with Conficker..

As bad as it sounds, there were already many ways and application to clean up confickers since those people from Anti virus companies made a big fuss last year..
