*Looks at poll*
Spoiler:
Damn, a lot of votes for Spirited Away.
I don't know why I like it more than any other Studio Ghibli movie that I've seen. I think the story just resonates with me more. It's a little like Alice in Wonderland for me, which I adore, and those Soot Balls are so freaking cute. Scenes from the movie also inspired pieces of the ending of my first novella, so that alone will always endear the film to me.

I've seen Spirited Away and loved it, but something about Princess Mononoke just speaks to me. Maybe because I take environmental issues to heart as it is, and I adore wolves. I love the interesting perception of the gods and the nature of good and evil. I love the adorable little Kudama and Jigo is hilarious, especially, somehow, the fact that he's probably the only character to never learn his lesson.

Among the few I watched, I preferred Spirited Away. It's kinda cool and the soundtrack is awesome. Joe Hisaishi makes great music  ;D

Lol look what someone painted on their room. Pretty cool.

And yeah, I'm a huge fan of Joe Hisaishi. I have most of his independent albums too. My favorite Studio Ghibli soundtrack would either be Howl's Moving Castle/Howl's Moving Castle Image Album or Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea/Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea Image Album. It's a toss up between those two.

I'm excited to watch The Borrower Arrietty and listen to the official OST. I have the image album, but all the songs are composed by Cecile Corbel and not by Hisaishi. The image album is still pretty great though.

Wow nice room! I'd prefer the walls with a huge totoro with a wide grin though  ;D

Sad that it's not composed by Hisaishi. Though I hope it'll be great anyway. Will the new movie be out for cinema like Ponyo?

I actually don't know. As of yet, there isn't a release date for North America or Europe, etc. It's just been released in theaters for Japan.

If I recall correctly, Ponyo was released around the same time 2 years ago, and a year later, the dub for the movie was released elsewhere. Maybe they're dubbing Arrietty.

Do it. It is so amazing. I enjoyed it a lot, even if it's not my favorite. Very cute.

Yeah... Ponyo is so very very cute, and the father is also, :) he's a father who tries and pushes his daughter away, so typical :P in all father/daughter relationship :P

Hm...I, for some strange reason, decided to watch a bit of the dubbed version of Ponyo.

I thought they nailed almost every voice in the English counterpart of the movie - Fujimoto, Granmamare, Lisa. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for Ponyo and Sousuke. WTF was Disney thinking when they hired Noah Cyrus and Frankie Jonas to do the voices of the protagonists? (Bet the only reason they got the job was because they have big sisters and brothers already on Disney's payroll).

Maybe it's because I saw the Japanese version with English subtitles first and have an expectation about how they should sound. The English voices of Ponyo and Sousuke were grating.

If anyone has yet to see Ponyo, I suggest the Japanese audio+English subs if you can. Just my opinion.
