This trailer is a pack of lies, I just know it.
Yes JD, you also see the light..we have been tricked before(movie 5) and I haven't fully recovered to get hurt again .
In all seriousness, everything in that trailer can be explained away.
Girl Running with Knife and seemingly stabbing Megure - Two edited scenes where Ran is either taking the murder weapon for Mouri/Conan/Police and a Scene where Megure gets informed that the culprit escaped or did XXXXX and does that surprised reaction. Gin and Conan- It's a dream, scene even looks a bit hazy. Gin seeing Conan in side mirror- Another edit or a fake where like in movie 5, it seemed that Gin's attention was going towards the main cast but in reality he was targeting someone else. So it could be easily that he was looking at someone behind the detective boys. The dialogue used- Movie 5 showed to get hype they will make up dialogue specifically for the trailer which will never appear in the movie.
That trailer is a LIE!

The Daily Sports and Sports Nippon newspapers both reported last week that the Japanese broadcaster NTV will be launching an hour-long weekday news program at 7:00 p.m. next April. However, that timeslot is currently held on Mondays by "Anime 7," the back-to-back showings of the Detective Conan and Yatterman anime. NTV has not officially announced whether either anime program is ending or moving to another timeslot. The public broadcaster NHK already airs its longrunning News 7 program in that timeslot, while another station, TBS, has revealed that it will launch a live two-hour news program from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in April. Despite the lack of official word on Detective Conan and Yatterman's fates, Japanese fans have launched an online petition to ask for Detective Conan to continue
1)April = 4-2009 = The 13th movie = The End of DC.

First of all , i am an optimistic person and will always be , there is no official response from NTV yet , so lets all hope for a new timeslot...ending such a good and money bringing series is very unlikely but who knows...I hope that we mustn't say "sayonara" to DC
Aha! I begin to understand now the story! Muwahahaha!
When Gin grabbed Conan there was a cut, so he didn't actually said:
Edogawa Conan, no (iya) Kudo shinichi
But he said: Edogawa Conan, iya (something else) and then comes something like "you should thank this to Kudo Shinichi". Or something similiar. This way the identity is hidden and it is not plot related.

I watched the preview again and I noticed that the person doing the stabbing with the knife was in pink and appeared to be a girl. Later on in the same preview, we see Ran in a pink outfit. It seems likely to me Ran is the one with the knife. I wonder what she is doing with it? (probably not stabbing the inspector Megure as the preview would suggest) Also, with the latest plot explanation in another thread, the guy who sneaks into Gin's car is probably that sketchy police-looking guy in the blue suit who appears on that early poster.
i dont know, but I think the person who doing the stabbing is Haibara ,,,
Oh yeah one more thing . What happened to the role of FBI , especially Akai, or the other mysterious character Night Baron. If movie 13 was final the movie, shouldn't be at least these characters have role in this movie. This is getting confusing especially with manga plot

Night Baron was never part of the BO. All that's happened in regards to the Night Baron character is a computer virus being named after it, the guy who created said virus being dressed as him before being thrown from a building, and Yusaku dressing up as him to scare Shinichi.
In other words, he's a non-factor to the series.
As far as any other loose ends, like Akai, they likely won't be answered. Remember, if this is the end of the anime, it isn't the end of the manga. As such, they aren't going to care about tying up all loose ends, because it isn't feasible to do so.

We all know about this before you posted this. This movie won't be the end of DC, the manga will end it. Besides, there's lack of information and confirmation if they'll cancel the show, which they pretty much won't because it's been giving them good ratings for a long time. So they'll just simply put it in a new timeslot. So don't jump to conclusions on that news story.

Thanks Sherlock!
No way, this trailer is AWESOME, GOOD! Actually, too good to be true. lol I hope it won't turn out to be like "it's all just a dream", because that scene with Gin & Conan looks fishy. *Doesn't wanna get disappointed in the end* Anyway, thanks a lot for posting it Lona.

I actually think the girl with the knife is Satou-san. Because they show Satou in her car and she's wearing a pink shirt and a white suit. I know it seems unlikely but..

-----M13 - the end of Conan ?!?
He's named Cool Kid and they named me the agent who feared them most...: Shuichi Akai !
Maybe "The Raven" is a rouge BO agent that can easily disguise as someone else (like Kaitou-Kid), and goes off on a murderous rampage around the city. Maybe the Satou that had the knife was "The Raven" disguised as Satou, maybe Chianti thought the Satou was "The Raven" in disguise (or maybe knew it), and that is why she is going to shoot her. Maybe Gin isn't the real Gin, but "The Raven" in disguise again.
