Sometimes Conan figures something important out too late and fails to get somewhere in time to stop bad things from happening, especially in cases with serial murders, but with the Moonlight Sonata case back in the beginning, Conan was unable to stop the culprit from committing suicide. Also Kid manages to get away if you want to count those as fails. He also gets a couple details wrong from time to time as well although they aren't the main case changing ones.
