I only watched the Japanese version, but another version (Chinese version) is out, and I heard it's pretty good!

Even though I'm from Taiwan and speaks Mandarin, I haven't watched a lot of dramas.

My favorites are:
Japanese
Hana yori Dango

Korean
Personal Preference

Taiwanese
Hana-Kimi
Down with Love

I'm currently working on Hot Shot and the Chinese and Korean version of Hana yori Dango.

I hope someone can help me out.
About a year ago, I stumbled upon a mystery jdrama (and I love mystery jdrama). Back then I didn't download it because I couldn't find subs. The last 2 months I'm trying to find it but I can't even remember the title (I had a list of to-watch jdrama but it got deleted long ago).
The story as far as I can remember the description from d-addicts is about a university student studying Japanese tradition (probably mechanical puppets, karakuri ningyou?) when some mysterious even occurs.
I though it was Yamada Tarou no Monogatari, but it turns out it is a totally unrelated jdrama. I'm almost certain the title ends with "no monogatari" though.

Any ideas?

I'm currently on the first part of episode 1 of One Liter of Tears. I've heard it's a beautiful(true) story, and so, I'm going to watch it.

It is a beautiful and great story. I have read the book but I haven't got to the show yet.

It was a good drama, and it IS based on a true story, but (sadly for Aya) I heard that there was actually no Asou-kun in her life...

That's right. She never mentioned a guy in the novel/memoir she wrote.

There is a new drama, "Nihonjin no shiranai nihongo", adopted from a manga/essay.
Watch it, for it is awesome.
