I guarantee that will likely not happen.Ali wrote: The show is probably shooting for 1000 episodes.

Re: The End... Of DC?
There is a major gap in the question...... which is: There are some animes that just end with the impression that there will be a continuation. Yes Conan may end but what if its an unfinished END? Yes just another case and then..... no more episodes...Such things have happened

Re: The End... Of DC?
It'll end, Gosho Aoyama has stated that he has come up with an ending for it. As far as I know, most animes have had an ending, and I can't think of any animes that have ended with the impression of a possible continuation; Well... with the exception of the Love Hina anime which they wanted to end it that way, but that's pretty much the only one that I know of.farmdve wrote: There is a major gap in the question...... which is: There are some animes that just end with the impression that there will be a continuation. Just because the manga's still going, doesn't mean the anime will. For example, there was the Inuyasha anime, which ended at a random manga chapter adaptaion with no resolution of the series what-so-ever because the anime had caught up to that manga and was canceled or something (not sure about the reason). If that were to happen to the DC anime, it would be sad, especially if the anime didn't make it to animating chapter 673.jason wrote:It'll end, Gosho Aoyama has stated that he has come up with an ending for it. Amen. That would be the most amazing thing ever. Because we all know that that's what's really going on already.TheBlind wrote: A cliche scenario I would like to see is a final confrontation between Gin an Shinichi were Shinichi believes to have the upper hand only to get shot but before the bullet hits Mouri Damn Kogoro jumps infront, takes the bullet and proceeds to judo Gin into submission. So Haibara's "radar" goes off at odd times, right? And she thinks that it is linked to the Black Org, right?
But all of the times it's gone off, there have been FBI (or suspected FBI) members there...
So, it's an FBI radar.

To say the truth, one part of me doesn't want DC to end and the other wants to because I really want to know if Shinichi will find the cure and return to his original form

No, both have the same plot. Just because the anime has some more cases than the manga ('cause they are original from the anime) it doesn't mean it has a different plot. Those episodes don't alter the real plotHydok wrote:Amen. That would be the most amazing thing ever. Re: The End... Of DC?
The anime actually messed up quite a bit of the early continuity with cut scenes, writing manga Black Org appearances out of the anime adaptation's script, shuffling the order of the stories, and adding filler stories that have characters act in ways that contradict developments in the manga continuity. Even when that generally stops they'll still overlook the significance of subtle visual clues.Thief1412 wrote: {...}

hay guys am I the only one that thinks detective conan (anime and (arguably) manga) are to long. I am just saying like speed up the pacing of the story and remove episode/chapters that do not grow any plot line.becuase a lot of people I know would love case closed but they are afraid of it's length. I mean there have got be people in japan who have the same problem with it.

Re: The End... Of DC?
I believe that it will end and everything will be good, and by end I mean the storyline, he will get back to normal and Ran & Shinichi will fall in love, BO is destroyed etc... but that will just be the end of that... They have so many more possibilities that just cause it ends doesn't mean that it has to "end". I think they could do like a DC case files type deal with a whole bunch of episodes and don't forget Shinichi they could also do a show about his escapades after the end of the first series. I think that would be good and would still give fans more episodes without the whole storyline thing to deal with. but maybe it would have a storyline...

Re: The End... Of DC?
While I usually agree that dragging out any series for too long is annoying, that's because in many long running series, they eventually become lame and boring. (the Simpsons is a good example!) However, ignoring the obviousness of who many of the culprits are, Detective Conan is still awesome now (unless the manga's quality has decreased dramatically in the last year (which I doubt)).tantei okuoku wrote: hay guys am I the only one that thinks detective conan (anime and (arguably) manga) are to long. Also, while I can understand people not wanting to watch a 500+ episode (300-350+ episodes, ignoring filler) anime, I personally don't see why people would think the manga would be a problem. Have they read manga? A chapter isn't exactly as long as in a novel. =P
