No worries. The movie will never affect the main plot, and thus Gin won't die, and neither will Conan or anyone in the main cast.

This reality actually destroys the enthusiasm of viewers
And I won't be surprised if Gin knows Conan's identity; the movies did it on Kid (w/c is not canon in the manga)

I'm slightly suspicious because of this sentence. Sounds a bit like it might not be Gin who will appear...=/
I'm also still wondering what's going to happen so it won't affect the manga storyline...

Movie 5 was really exciting and didn't affect the manga's plot. If this movie can be on par with Countdown to Heaven, I will be ever so pleased!

This looks pretty promising, perhaps even as good as soome of the older DC movies, though I'm sure there will be plenty of angst when the time comes about what will undoubtedly be serious un-canonness problems.

Yeah, that's what I thought too, since Gin kills plenty of people, after all. Gin's the Shinigami and Conan's the bringer of the Shinigami.
