To protect diabetic people there is also a law were I can't spend blood tooTho I wanted :/

I'm not sure about other nations' armies, but yes, there is a basic training. HOWEVER, while in the past they were very demanding of this and might kick out people who can't, these days, they just as well might let you skip the training and place you in an office job without much training.Kleene Onigiri wrote: Not sure. But I thought you still need to do the basic training?
From some incidents I've heard of, I sometimes wonder about that. But heck, if they take to the army a guy with irrational fear from shirt buttons, I wouldn't be surprised at anything.Kleene Onigiri wrote: They also don't take psychopaths into the army, right?
While that was only an example (there are so many jobs in the army, such as secratery/interviewer/someone who carries stuff/driver/etc.), I can assure you there are far more than twenty people in the base with the radio station.Kleene Onigiri wrote: And there are a lot of people with diabetes. Well, then I could also not go to the army directly but stay "at home" and do some work there right? Aka doing "Zivi".Kor wrote:I'm not sure about other nations' armies, but yes, there is a basic training. True. But officially they don't take them ;pFrom some incidents I've heard of, I sometimes wonder about that. Well, if it's the whole radio station we talk about, then they clearly need more than 20 XDWhile that was only an example (there are so many jobs in the army, such as secratery/interviewer/someone who carries stuff/driver/etc.), I can assure you there are far more than twenty people in the base with the radio station.Kleene Onigiri wrote: And there are a lot of people with diabetes. But like I said. I could also stay at home and do a different job that's also important and don't have to be "directly hired" by the army.

Condition 1: As soon as I join the army, all wars have to stop so I never have to fight. Instead, we'll have international DDR-offs to decide everything.Abs. wrote: I'm really curious as to what these conditions are.
Condition 2: I get my own special refrigerator.
The army still won't agree to these terms, so there's nothing I can do. ^^
Actually, they might take me. I haven't done too much research into who can enlist and who can't. But I have a slight heart murmur. And I have a problematically low resting heart rate, so I get weak and dizzy and even sometimes black out if I stand up too fast, which seems like it could lead to some wacky but unfortunate hi-jinks if I were in uniform.

Well... Until now, every guy had to join the army when they reached 18, unless they went to study. The girls could choose. It changed now though.
But because I'm studying law and I'm even not downloading illegeal stuff and keeping it (lol), I would go with the first option. No matter what, it's YES.

Well, if you really didn't want to serve and were in the United States, I believe you can still say: "No, sorry. I'm gay."

If it were required of me, I wouldn't like to join, but I would follow the law.
As it is, I have a friend in the army who basically told me he'd murder me if I ever enlisted.

NO. D:
Me seeing dead ppl = fear = me passed out and lying there half-dead before i even did anything.
So no. I can't even look at a scar without shuddering. And I'm a pacifist.

About cutting hair, here it is not required as long as you wear a hairnet. My friend used that when he went trough military training.
Option two for me, but I doubt they would want me since I'll start hyperventilating at everything upsetting. Lame I know but I can't help it, when I get really sad or scared I just start doing it.
