Moonlight Sonata, because not only is it a good case, but on one or two occasions Conan's referred back to it and the fact that he wasn't able to save the culprit (including a Heiji case, but I forget which one it is exactly), so it gets plot points for that.

That's why I used those fancy quotation marks.dilbertschalter wrote:That piece of background music isn't all that new. I'm fairly sure that it plays during the fountain up part of movie 4's climax and I remember it coming up somewhere else.Yamamura wrote:While on the subject though, the music that plays as 523 ends is one of my favorite "newer" tunes.Wakarimashita wrote: Furthermore the old sountrack gave an emotional dimension to the episodes which is no longer present in the current episodes.

Yeah...maybe it's just me, but I don't hear the older soundtracks too much now; I know it's been a few years, but I loved the old soundtracks.

Hundreds of episodes happened to it. Though I miss some of the old music, I like some of the new tracks a lot and also realize that they have to make a change at some point.Introuble wrote:Yeah, what happened to that soundtrack?Wakarimashita wrote: Furthermore the old sountrack gave an emotional dimension to the episodes which is no longer present in the current episodes.

"The energies of our system will decay; the glory of the sun will be dimmed, and the earth, tideless and inert, will no longer tolerate the race which has for a moment disturbed its solitude. Man will go down into the pit, and all his thoughts will perish. The uneasy consciousness, which in this obscure corner has for a brief space broken the contented silence of the universe, will be at rest. Matter will know itself no longer. 'Imperishable monuments' and 'immortal deeds,' death itself, and love stronger than death, will be as though they had never been."

I've complained probably the most about the new soundtrack - I absolutely hate it, I've always thought the older soundtrack gave DC a gritty, 90's noir like theme to it, but it seems to be all but lost with
one - the new music, and two - the new vibrant colors.
Now the colors aren't that bad, because I have to say the old animations from maybe 1-100 were pretty lackluster, but the jazz-like quality that the Katsuo Ono Band seems to be in some sort of dark slumber, never to return.

Congrats to Moonlight Sonata, I couldn't vote thanks to some problems I had with the page but I would havd voted Moonlight Sonata so It wouldn't be any change at all.
