I like you!  (There's really no one on this forum I can think that I don't like)  It sounds like people were making jokes to be funny, but it didn't end up coming across as funny.  The web can be a pretty bad medium for making jokes, as it's just text and there's no visual or auditory feedback.  I hope you stick around, though, and things can get resolved so no one's feelings are hurt.

He's actually just trying to gain sympathy after I had to call him out on making two accounts for avoiding his original ban. He saw that I cornered him in the other topic and his immediate reaction was to run awaaayyyy. I'm sorry if he thought his disguise was perfect, but--and I hope he doesn't take this too seriously--it could use some work.

I was (and still am) being playful about it, and we've known since the day we re-approved his account that it was obviously him. We're all right with 2nd chances, but not with people just outright lying when it's obviously true. If he hadn't insinuated that I was lying, I wouldn't have gone into any detail about it.

I hope you fully return back to DCTP some day^^

Well, let's put it this way, Jd-:

Let's say you're a member at a forum, A, and you make an ass out of yourself and are banned. You are given a second chance to start over again as a new name, B. Then, randomly someone comes along and goes, "hey guys look!! B was originally A!!" And then everyone stares at said person and goes, "Oh yes, I remember A! They were an idiot!" And now, B can't start over again because they're going to believe all others are thinking of is that B was originally A. It may dumb to you, maybe, but to them when they're trying to start over again... it's a bit demoralizing. You look kind of like a bully here in this situation, Jd-, even though you most likely didn't mean to be one, and let's not forget that cyberbullying can be just as nasty as bullying in a person to person situation. It's no wonder they're looking for sympathy, you basically outed them when they were trying to start over again for absolutely no reason whatsoever.

Of course, before someone goes "Well, they deserve it, look at how they're reacting now!" Well, try to be in their shoes, wouldn't you feel a little hostile if you were trying to start over again and someone outed YOU?

I haven't followed all of Detective Prince's posts or anything, but what I've described above is one way you could look at it, Jd-. I don't think you meant any harm at all, Jd-, but one could definitely look at your actions in a more malicious light.

I really hope you won't leave only because people think you're a banned member of this forum(I don't know if it's true or not)... and even if it's true people can have a second chance as long as they are respectful... and I think most of the time you are a respectful and a nice member...

even when you "fight" with some people here,there are other peoples who apprciate you and want to discuss with you...

ok,some people have a weird sense of humor (even I have difficulties with the jokes of some members) but It's a bit sad to leave a forum like this (DCTP is the only peaceful DC forum I know)...

I do know you (as far as this forum is concerned), KaitoKid0, and I remember all the posts by you I had to delete when you used a plethora of profanities toward other members just because they couldn't understand your willingness to antagonize them for not liking the Haibara & Conan pairing. It was (and continues to be) a little absurd, to be honest.

Well, if it weren't for his past actions, I'd maybe be more willing to let it play out as a joke, but his best course of action would have been to not lie about it and ignore the discussion altogether. I really don't have much sympathy for people who have to be learned to have some common decency and respect for others, and that was (and remains) the case with KaitoKid0. Before he got banned and realized that people here just don't take kindly to being verbally assaulted in every other post, he never let up with it. Any disagreement he had led to profanities, and after countless (boy, do I mean countless) warnings about it, he eventually got to the point where we were only having to delete one out of every five posts (as opposed to four of five). He had another round of slip-ups and that's how he ended up where he is now. So, really, my issue is that he isn't trying to "start over" but is instead just trying to get back in and skirt by. If he was starting over, he'd have ditched his hostile nature from the get-go.

Beyond that, I'm not pretending to be overtly nice or forgiving, because I've witnessed firsthand how he has to be forced to play nice. If he hadn't been forced to before, he'd still be acting exactly as he once was (there are indications of it in his new account's posts, even, sadly). I can go into the moderation logs and find all of the posts by him we've had to delete, and I can promise they aren't pretty. If he had truly changed his nature and was no longer so spiteful and nasty to everyone, then maybe we could really hash something out, but without us being on his case and him trying to (very terribly) hide his old identity, he'd be right back to where he was. I have no doubt he'll make another account if he really does "leave" so we haven't really seen the last of him regardless. If he'd like to admit he was frequently mean-spirited to everyone and even apologize to them for once, I'd maybe be more willing to sympathize, but instead he decided to blame everyone else for "starting it"--always.

I love reading the posts by the members of this forum (outside of well, you can guess), because they really set a great example for new members and--to me--exemplify what a forum should be. There's really no need for everyone to immediately start hurling coarse and violent language at one another (especially over their favorite pairing amongst the principal characters); it should more be a place where people can come and casually discuss one of their favorite series and talk about randomness.

Instead, it sometimes gets a little nasty, and it's at that point that the mods step in. Not everyone likes that sort of intervention, but if they don't... I like to remind them there's a roadmap here. In KaitoKid0's case, maybe he'd prefer an unregulated Naruto forum or to up his visits to the comment-wasteland that is YouTube?

Nonetheless, this place should be a distraction from stressful things in their lives--not the opposite, which is why we are still extremely relaxed here even where, in other forums, people would get banned 100 posts before they do here (KaitoKid0 may have had more posts deleted than you do posted, CC; gotta catch up!). I spend time responding to posts that would garner two lines max elsewhere, just because I don't want people to think I act without consideration; they may justify it that way and blame everyone but themselves, but since there have been thousands of people come here and only four or five have earned bans, I think I can live with a few people who don't like me/us/everyone.

To me, it's really just as simple as utilizing the golden rule. If someone opts not to, they're eventually going to get banned, because there's really no reason to take it as seriously as someone like KaitoKid0 did. He kind of acted as if he were an outlaw in the Wild West, where the established order was second to whatever he felt like saying/doing.

(I think it's proof enough of just how rudely he presented himself that someone jokingly used him as an example of such... some nine months since his last post under that account. Boy knows how to leave an impression! )

What? If they like another couple that's understandable it's not like I push it on people. If I joke about that then it's just joking. I an sure that I'm not someone else. I don't remember cursing out anyone. I only remember getting in a fight once with someone here also the people here might not curse but be they surely insult you and belittle you. You don't have too use "profanity" to do that. I never once see you do anything about that...

I don't see how I have been disrespectful to much people here either.

It sounds like you had very good reason to ban KaitoKid0, Jd-, and from my experience here in these forums I know you don't make decisions like that lightly.  It also sounds like you have solid evidence that Detective Prince is indeed KaitoKid0 in disguise. 

Detective Prince, if you are not KaitoKid0 then you have a right to demand (publicly or privately) that Jd- produce the evidence behind his serious accusations.  You do not deserve to be unjustly accused.  On the other hand, if you are KaitoKid0 then I strongly suggest you own up to it.  I think I can speak for many here that we're happy to accept anyone who is respectful and honest, and continuing to lie would just serve to harm your position.
