Personally I think Ai is too good for Shinichi.  No offense, I hope she goes with someone who isn't so emotionally slow.

I know main characters are suppose to be "oblivious" to everything because that makes room for them to be fandom tricycles or whatever.  But then that's why I never really like them in the first place . 

Well of course Shinichi can't beat Hattori who is just an ahou xD. 

I don't really agree.. Conan has risked his life many times to save Ai from death.
Actually, Conan is ready to risk his life for everyone, he can't let anyone die. ^^

Oh and can anyone else picture Shinichi running off in front of cars saving people or something on his wedding day? xD

It's his biggest asset and naturally his biggest flaw at the same time.  I hope Ai doesn't end up with him.


But then I guess you can say the same for all the characters in the DC universe.  They all like jumping into burning buildings or rescuing people from explosions and stuff .

I have a similar feeling about Ran being too good for him (especially since she warned Shin'ichi that he'd eventually get himself into trouble in the very first chapter)... I'm still thinking Aoyama will permanently punish his hubris at some point, and won't just let him have his perfect wish fulfilling, sacrifice free ending. Too much film noir homage in the series for it to have a perfect good guys win fairy tale ending, in my opinion.

Conan x Ai is nice, but I'm just being straightforward. Even if Aerith comes out in the middle of the story, the director will still pin Cloud w/Tifa. That's how stories end

But I feel sorry for the ladies, seriously.
Ran loves Shinichi, and is willing to wait forever.
Ai wants to be w/Conan forever, but knows the she can't 'cause someone else is waiting for him.
While Shinichi/Conan is a clueless loser: always beside them but can't figure out what they feel (shame for a detective)

I want a case where Shinichi/Conan attempts to understand their feelings, lol

Somehow the thought of MitsuAi (popular in Japan) doesn't seem so bad. If she decides to stay a kid, Mitsuhiko will be the best choice.. or maybe Genta .

In fact, i would literaly burn all my DC collection if somehow they ended the DC story with that pairing *lol*
Akai would be better option, or eisuke .. He's kinda acceptable pair, an airhead paired with smart girl.. It could work  8)

I said that prolly because of the various japanese fansites that I go to. I've seen many MitsuAi stories and art. Don't have to believe me .

The Mitsu & Haibara scenario is a long stretch. They are too far apart mentally and in interest. Seems more like Haibara would see him as a little brother. It's like a Conan & Ayumi scenario, yeah seems "cute"(I personally hate this scenario..Ayumi is evil) on paper but implementing it is another thing.

As for Conan being oblivious, I think people aren't giving him enough credit. He has shown to love Ran and turn away others that are interested in him for Ran but has never told her directly. He just wants to it to be a sure thing before he proposes (first one didn't go so well) just like his deductions, and it's the same with Haibara. Wouldn't surprise me if he's just playing dumb about not noticing Haibara's feelings until he's sure they are real (she has tricked him several time in the past) and the fact he is getting closer (Maybe closer than he consciously wants) to her isn't helping him. Examples are calling her his "partner", trying to get on her good side when he gets her mad by calling her pretty, and etc. So what you have to take into account is, if he acknowledges her feelings, Conan has to also acknowledge that maybe he can't turn away Haibara for Ran as easily has has with other girls in the past which is something he probably wants to play denial too, at least while he's in Conan form.

I agree Shin'ichi isn't really oblivious as far as the girls' feelings go, but I think what's really holding him back is his ego. He knows, because Ran told Conan, that she already likes him in a big way. What he really wants is for the moment when he and Ran "officially" confess their feelings to be a perfect romantic moment, but he may never get that perfect moment, especially if he doesn't change his other ego driven priorities and let the police handle things every once in a while. He just refuses to settle for accepting any trade-offs there.

i personnally think that ai and subaru will end up togetha as they might hav many things in common so if ai ever turns back to her normal body size, she'll suit subaru alot (n both r somehow brown/blonde =P). And since many of us grew with the idea of shin/ran...it will end like that n besides that was clear ever since the first episode aired...
i'll kinda feel sorry for mitsuhiko who has a crush on ai...
i also want to c if kid's emotional life will ever appear agian in DC...hmmm... caz it'll b gud if they conclude that at the end of the show-------wich i dnt want tht n e time soon!

nah, kid's emotional life would probably still be in MK (if he eva continues it), if not then we can safely assume MK has merged wit DC and we will get to see 'kid's emotional life' lol
