Re: E.B.O.N.Y. The Weirdest Riddle Game on the Internet
Im now here
The beacon shines like a spear even if the unspeakable darkness surrounds.
_____________
Hints: Now you won't find anything.
Nowhere to click: no significant parts on the picture, no hidden stuff on the screen.
So, you need another solution: alter the URL manually!
(What's that? The thingy that appears in the field where you can type a page address that you want to visit and now it starts with http://ebony...)
Let me introduce you the name and the title of the page. The name is a short word before the .html letters at the very place that was mentioned right before - and makes no sense at all. The title is shown by the browser somewhere - and makes no sense as well.
So, if none of them makes any sense, try to do something with them, and if you're ready, change the little word before the .html!
(Okay, perhaps I'm a bit annoying but many people are not familiar with these. Honestly.)
_____________
General hints:
If there is no certain area on a screen, which leads you to the lext level (which happens quite often), you have to change the URL.
The right name (which actually means the solution of a level) can be figured out in a kind of logical way - in all cases. There's no need to guess randomly. [Even if the answer is q3gz9vxe.html or something similar (this happens quite rarely indeed) you will be able to know without any doubt!]
Sometimes certain words can lead you to new pages (though not to new levels). In such cases read the text or observe the screen and you'll know the reason for it. If the page still doesn't make any sense, either you've ignored some major hints or you've arrived to a sub-page of another level by random guessing. (Or sheer luck.) If this happens I suggest you to go back to the level you originally were, or else you'd miss major hints that are needed later (!)
Most sub-pages has a "back" option too that leads you back to the main level.
The "folder-part" of the URL (it's "ailyn" right now) is not important yet. Or at least, it's irrelevant for a while. Just keep in mind that it exists too.
You don't need to use capital letters in the URL. Neither space nor extra characters (like ;, $, Ã...)
You'll never need to alter the http://... ...hu part of the text.

Which looks like a pile of garbage can hold treasure for the wise one!
_____________
From now on, you should check out the source code of the page too.
Don't panic! You don't need to be an expert webpage-maker for getting useful information there. You'll find more hints there.
(If you don't know what source code is, consult your browser's menus, or even its help file. In most cases, the View Source Code option is in the View menu.)

just right click anywhere on the screen (not on a link!) and click "view page source" or "view source code" .... pay attention to the ones in green...Beastly wrote: What's a source code?
