Hmm.. we don't know yet if Gin is Japanese or half-Japanese or not Japanese at all. Silver/Blond hair isn't a solid proof. ^^

Agree. Since conan couldn't tell that Haibara is a half either (he knows because she said her mother isn't Japanese, if I remember correctly) Because Haibara's Japanese is good and having a different hair color doesn't mean much these days. (since she could have a grandpa that wasn't Japanese and that's why her hair is not black/dark colored. Or she likes to color them)

Not to mention, Camel/Vodka are somewhat similar as well, both being thick guys (though Vodka always wears glasses, so you can't see the similarities that well). So, the only person you need to match up is James Black to someone who looks like him.

And wouldn't you know, there's a character whose similarity to James Black was even mentioned... :O!

Randy Hoke: The BO Boss that nobody suspected.
Yeah YEAH YEAH I totally agree about Randy Hooke. That would explain why the BO have so much money for their operations and stuff. :-? Hmppphh...

I have a theory somewhere about Gin and Akai originally being the same character before Gosho fully developed DC's storyline. Gosho worked out two mutually inconsistent storylines for this character which he both liked, and rather than toss one plotline, he split the character into two and then developed them both. It would naturally explain the similarities.
Nice theory there. Yeah may be, really, like the way Kid and and Shinichi and the samurai in Yaiba look the same.

True that.
Seems like all most of the characters with non-black hair are at least half-Japanese: Ai, Vermouth, Elena.. So maybe Gin is too.

I don't think he is. He seems to be in a pretty good shape, and he doesn't have wrinkles. I guess he's in his thirties.

Wasn't Gin created before Sephiroth? I'm not sure..

There are people that have gray/silver hair at a young age. My mom started to have gray hair with ~21. And during one year her hair got completely gray D: (I'm 21 now.... *scared*) So Gin doesn't have to be old to have gray/silver hair.

Another possibility would be, that he is actually old, but used the APTX and a side effect would be gray/silver hair ;D But I doubt that. He would know that people can shrink then (or at least know that people can deage, and thus have a hunch that someone could shrink)
Spoiler:
But on the other hand, he did check the coin lockers looking for a person D:

Yep, three years before I think...

That's really interesting. I wonder why it happens? *goes off the look for info about premature grey hair.*

As long as you don't use me as a test subject ;D
Well, could be something genetic or an illness. Or because of Chernobyl... ;p

Don't parents usually just blame stress from their children for their grey hair?  ::)

This kinda makes me think of a stupid, impossible theory: The BO's real name is Shinra, which makes everyone immediately knows that anokata's real name is Rufus Shinra. This is shocking to both Ai and Conan 'cos they never imagined the DC universe would have anything to do with FFVII universe.
HAHAHA.

May be :-? I somehow have a feeling he isn't Japanese. May be half. idk, lol, just my feelings.

I think he's probably at Shuu's age. So late twenties ~ early thirties is pretty acceptable.
How old is Shuu, really?

It hasn't ever been said, but I am guessing around Akemi and Jodie's age.

So that's about late twenties. If I remember right, then Chris Vineyard's age was 29 when she first appeared in volume 24, right?
Seriously I need to clarify these things about Chris and Sharon and Vermouth.
If Vermouth really is both Chris and Sharon, then where is the daughter?

Hphmmm...

There is no daughter since they are both Vermouth. Vermouth as Sharon pretended to have a daughter Chris. Chris never actually existed until the imaginary Chris was an adult's age because Vermouth can't disguise as a child. Vermouth then made her Chris role a movie star like her Sharon role - meaning for a while Vermouth was doing both Chris and Sharon roles. After a while Vermouth decided to "retire" her Sharon role and take up her Chris role full time by faking Sharon's death in a fire.

I don't think that was said anywhere... I just got volume 34 and it just said that she died. The circumstances weren't specified.
