Hm... This is a rough one.... Both are honestly not that good, and neither actually have much of a mystery... They are both basically action movies...

Movie 8 is good solely for Kaitou Kid showing off his best disguise ever. (but doing that kinda kills the mystery, but it was still funny as hell) That and my favorite quote ever... "Bust, waist, hip sizes?" when he is flirting with Ran. (But that really pails in comparison to "Sometimes a dry cleaner, Kaitou Kid")

Movie 9... Nothing really good about this movie except it is possibly the only movie where Kogorou is shown not to be an idiot in a believable way. And that is why I chose that over Movie 8...

Nice, my vote just made the poll into a draw again...

Strategy above the Depths for me. (So hard not to write it as "debts"...)

Both movies were nice and enjoyable, though nothing special. But I like the roles of the detective boys in movie 9 more, so my vote went to that movie.

Both movies have a lot of action –lack in the mistery part though - and both are based in disaster movies like Titanic, Airport 77 and Turbulencia (In this movie a girl have to land the plane, just like Ran did ) . Be the way, the landing scene in Magician of the Silver Sky in very similar to the scene in Executive Decisión, a airplane disaster movie starring by Kurt Russell, and Halle Berry.

Anyway, I vote for Magician of the Silver Sky because have so many good moments between Conan, Ran and Kaito Kid . Be the way, I think that the last Ran-Kid escene in this movie is connected, somehow, to the main plot in The lost Ship in the Sky movie .
