Japanese Cuisine

After seeing Magic File 4 I heard of a new dish, okonomiyaki, and it makes me wonder how many foods out there are in Japan. Japan is not just about sushi you know.

So what i am asking is have you ever made/eaten any of Japanese culture foods?

Oh.. my mouth is watering just thinking about Japanese food.  There are *lots* of cool, unique Japanese foods that are not sushi.

My absolute favourite food in the entire world is okonomiyaki.  I also love takoyaki, yakisoba, gyuudon, tendon, curry rice, ramen, udon, zaru soba, tonkatsu, edamame, Tsukemono, nikkuman, and mochi ice cream!  In other words, when in Japan, I like to eat out. 

Argh!  Now I'm hungry!!

If you go one of those japanese or even chinese super markets like Ranch 99 I'm sure you can find the ingredients, at least in America I think..

The main problem would be the actual cooking; certain Japanese food is really annoying to make

oh.. ranch 99.. we have 1. and it double or sometimes almost tripled the price for something that you can get at traditional market ( non Air conditons ones)
