Real locations in detective conan

I never really noticed when I read it, but does Gosho ever use real locations in his cases?  I always assumed they were made up.

What do you mean by locations?  Like "Touto Sky Apartments"?  That kind of thing is usually made up, but frequently the buildings drawn are based on real buildings.  Or like if they go to someplace like Karuizawa?  Almost all of the places they go when in tourist mode are real.

i think it would be rely hard for Gosho to draw realistic buildings without reference from the real world 

heck, i bet he even sees a tower just outside his window of his office or wateva

Teehee, that's what I'm having trouble with as well  .  Googlemaps is really helpful like that but it's nicer to have a sense of where they are.
