Takagi's Look

Maybe 'younger' was the wrong word to use...XD (Inexperienced; no offense but his looks gives off the impression as a new guy just assigned on to Division One)

Agree... This new Takagi fits the manga ersion and has the Gosho design style

I prefer the new look.  It correlates with how he looks in the manga and seems more realistic of a style and shape (I like that Gosho has been giving characters more life-like proportions and such).  The old look's okay, but I always felt that the spiked hair was a bit distracting.

Well, like I said before, I started watching Conan since '98 so the original design is the one I'm more use to  I still like both of them though

I actually don't really like the old episodes, heck even the recent ones, i think i only like episodes 200-400, the old ones is like still undeveloped and the new one's characters to me doesn't look like the ones Gosho draws in the manga. (maybe because i find some of those character's faces a bit too wide i guess)

Has anybody noticed that Takagi's skin color has looked ligther in the last few episodes than before or is it just me?? Picture is from ep 514.

You know, I've always wonder, is he friends with Gosho?? I mean he has a character named after him (unless it's just a coincidence) and he plays two imoprtant secondory characters (Genta,Takagi) I don't think any of the other seiyuu in the show can say that

For me, I kinda forgot that Takagi had his hair like that (old one) and gotten used to the new one. When I rewatched the older episodes, I was like Huh? Is that Takagi?

So yeah, now I prefer the new look. Looks nicer with smoother hair.

I'm sorry to bring up a three-month-old thread, but I just had to post here.

I like the new look better, mostly because it looks more like the manga version of him.

About the hair changing, it's actually that Takagi appeared in the anime way before he appeared in the manga. Originally, he was just "an officer that reports the case" and was going to be nameless, but then when Megure's sieyuu asked what the name of the officer is, Takagi Wataru, the seiyuu, accidentally said his own name. And so Aoyama-sensei went ahead and named the officer "Takagi Wataru".

Takagi's first anime appearance was in ep 66. In the manga, he didn't appear until chapters 171.

But, over all, I like the manga Takagi the best. I don't know, the anime version of him, even if in the correct hair style, looks old.
