Random Poll of the Day! (64)

Yeah, deep.
EDIT: stupid poll-question-limit. Here is the full question:
If there was a situation, in which a milion of people (who you have no connection to) are in a life-threatning situation, but if you would sacrifice your life, the people will be saved. So it's either your life, or the lives of milion people. Which would you choose?

Well this is one of those questions where you don't know how you will act until you get there. Well I choose sacrificing myself, but like I said I never been in such a situation so I can't know for sure.
Edit: Just to be clear, what I vote is what will survive right?

Would the public know I'm an arse/hero?
I depends heavily on the situation in question and whether it would be possible to save all 1,000,001 people.

They will be only saved if you sacrifice yourself.
Please people, I know it's easy (and sometimes fun) to find flaws or holes in those type of questions (and find way-outs or raise some sort of possibilities), but you have the question and you have your options. So you don't have a time machine, Superman won't come to help you, and the Dragon Balls don't exist.

since timetravel is totally and utterly impossible, Superman won't come to help you, and the Dragon Balls don't exist.
fixed that for you

since he is nothing more than a fictional couple, hence he doesn't exist, and the whole idea of an alien who comes from another planet, wears tights, a cape, and has the abilities to fly, have super strength and speed, can shoot fire from his eyes and see through objects, is very unrealistic and ridicules, and the Dragon Balls don't exist.
fixed that for you
If you're going
this deep then it should be even more fixed

I notice you didn't prove that the Dragonballs don't exist.
I'll be on my way to summon Shen Long then.

But I said that the Dragon Balls don't exist, hence they don't exist.
Notice that in the time machine and Superman, at the start it wasn't stated WHY it was impossible. In the Dragon Balls' case, it was said immediately that they don't exist, hence it didn't require an explanation.

I don't care either way about that, I just think timetravel is and always will be utterly impossible, it's also silly.

A lot of things were said to be impossible in the days of yore. Like flying or going faster than 30mph without dying of speed.

I know, it's just that timetravel always breaks against the rules of logic, at least every time I've seen it explained. I've heard Doctor Who has a really good explanation but until I've seen it I stand by that timetravel is ridiculous.

Am I pregnant at that moment? Then it would be 2 deaths vs. 1 milion ;p
Well, it also depends if I have a family and kids D: But when I'm like now I would save the people I guess?

Doctor Who having a good explanation of time travel? Yyyyyyyeah don't count on that.
Anyway, yeah it breaks the rules of logic, but people also thought that teleportation broke logic as well, even though quantum-scale teleportation has been discovered. Science is constantly evolving, and many things that broke logic 200 years ago are commonplace now.

lol Doctor Who - here's how the universe is described in DW in one sentence - 'a ball of slimey wimey timey stuff' - don't remember the actual quote but something along the lines.
well currently they believe you can travel into the future if you move at the speed of light, but you can't go back into the past.
and to be more on-topic, hm..... very very deep question, but i shall make a very honest response here, i would choose my life over the 1 million. - heck is human nature you would think that even if you morally believe it is wrong.
