Really, it's not enough with my own ISP blocking some sites (see my other thread)..

Now the Internet cafe near my home also doing the same thing using the K9 web protection (BlueCoat). .  What the hell is wrong with this month ?!

And its WORSE !! Sarcasm intended, i can only open the Google and Facebook there...

So anyone know how to crack this SoB web blocking application ? Other than knowing the administrator password (though i won't be asking you if i knew the password...)

Tried that, it's also blocking the proxy provider sites..

I'd say switch ISPs if you can. What country are you in and what are the internet regulations there like? If you are willing, can you tell me the name of your ISP? In some places, you can appeal the block.

The problem is in Indonesia who majority is Moeslim, this is their holy month of feasting. So all porn or aduld site get blocked. Even this forum got extremmly slow loading for me

Don't get me wrong, I'm from the same religion and also fasting so i respect if they wanted to keep the citizens here from accessing something that may soil our Holy month..

But this ?  Ceh, more like indiscriminate blocking to me...

Thankfully they're still sane enough not to block that largest Indonesian community . .

And yeah, you never asked anyway...

Anyhow, at least i still got my Google in that Internet Cafe.. Several smart choice of search key words...

I looked up the matter online, and according to two news sites, it seems the blocking in Indonesia might will extend past Ramadan. It seems the government has ordered all the ISPs to filter so switching ISPs wouldn't help unless they implemented a different filtering software that hasn't blacklisted the site of interest. The fact that it is not centralized may mean that some ISPs will be less strict than others, so it may be worth trying to access the sites with different ISPs. If your website was accidentally blocked, then it might be worth a call to your ISP review the permissions. Don't do something like that though if it means your name is going to be filed away in some government databank for insurrection because you appealed a block- I don't know what the government is like in Indonesia.

You can probably ask various people IRL and find out what proxies you can use.
