It's Japan related, and it's a issue up for debating, so gross or not gross?
My Chinese side of the family thinks it's okay, my English side, not really, they are half and half on this...

It depends?
My grandmother has once told me about cousin marraige. It really depends. For example, she says my brother can marry my female cousin but I can't marry my male cousin. -.-''. Guess I need to ask her why.
I personally think that if you like your cousin, why not? /: . I think it's better than Siblings getting married.
Oh yeah, my grandmother is a Chinese.

Well, I don't see any problem in there, apart from the biological ones that appear only if first-cousin marriage is repeated by several generations. However, as all my cousins are male, my ability to understand this subject is logically limited.

Indeed! The cousin's parents were cousins themselves!

Not blood related.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure biological defects still have a pretty high chance of occurring in first cousin relations. There's still a direct blood relation there.

Not blood related.
Still, the "Incest'/"Sibling Love/Blood Related" concept applied in the series..

Uh... in terms of real life, Eleanor Rosevelt and FDR got married, and they were first cousins.(Or was it distant? I forgot.)

When I was ~5, I wanted to marry my cousin D: I didn't know you can't or that it's considered "gross". When someone told me I was like: NUUUUUUUUUUU D:
Well, I wouldn't mind. It's just because of the genetic defects you'll get out of that.
The gross part is just something people "learned" from society.

Why "gross" they are not actual siblings right?

Nice!, my grandmother (father's side) thinks so too, although it's strange you can't marry your male cousin considering a female cousin is allow to marry your brother.

Correct.
Then it's not a really a "gross" thing, just the risk of bearing defects... hmm....
