Is it just me or is this happening to everybody?? Does your post count when you start a topic or poll?? or does it count when you have already posted on that topic?? because I know they used to, but I have started like 20+ polls the past month and posted replies on them too and also posted replies on topics that I had already posted on and they didn't count they only count if I hadn't posted on that topic and hadn't started it myself.
Is it just me?? did the rules change??
Just Curious

they did, it was deactivated though because certain people were just spam-posting in off-topic in order to inflate their post counts

That makes even more sense, I wonder if they could have been desactivated it only for people that were doing that, but I guess it would have been a hassle and a lot of work too.

It would have been too hard because their are constant offtopic monsters being born everyday, and because of this Jd had to enforce the "zero offtopic post count policy".
It's actually quite revolutionary, China borrowed this concept and used it for a while to help control their population, so China is in greaaat debt to Jd

I dunno how possible that is on these forums, cause I've never admined an SMF forum before, but I know at the very least on invisionfree forums you could manually edit peoples' post counts to what you wanted, so you could knock em back down when you felt like it. Not to mention like ranger said, you'd have to do this for each new person that decides to spam OT.
But really, it's not like post counts matter much, imo.

You are right, but since I noticed I was posting a lot and the count wasn't increasing like it did before, even posting on the off topic forum, my curiousity arised ^_^

Well certain people have been posting thousands of posts each in Off-Topic in the past few days alone. Not naming any names.
