Need Some Ideas

My first post! And I don't know if my post should be posted here. Anyway...
Uhm... I am planning to write a novel and I wanted to become someone like Sir Arthur Conan Doyle or our beloved Gosho Aoyama-sama. I need some ideas for the novel I am planning. It's about mystery centering the lives of certain high school students. I wanted to put an organization like the BO but that would be too unoriginal and unrealistic for the life of high school students.
Anyway, can you give me some ideas? I know that most people here knows what to read in a mystery genre story. Any idea will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

As someone who also wrote a novel, my best advice for you is - come up with the ideas yourself.
If you use someone else's idea (as in an overall plot idea) you're locking yourself. You suppose to write on your "hopes and dreams" and not of others. (I hope you understand what I mean)

You could just have a few people get involved with the "Local Crime Syndicate."
Which is actually just as powerful as the Black Org but not so much mysterious, I mean in certain places the Cops are the strong-arm of the Syndicate so it can be just as bad. Of course you'll have to create a fairly convincing High school character...

I'm no expert when it comes to writing novels, but I agree with Kor. Asking ideas for a written piece from other people usually isn't fulfilling. Go out and explore, expose yourself to a lot of things, and observe the things around you. I think this is especially more important if you wish to write a mystery novel, where you really need to imagine and be creative in order to create the mystery.

Just think about what you want to write. Do you want to write thrilling car chases? Quiet emotional scenes? Shootouts? Stalkings? Think about what you want to write and what kind of characters would suit that. That's always a good way to start.

man how can We help you if I cant even do this myself. I say make sure you got the information you need and learn about what your writing from the Library of history of these things and places you've been to. Ask some people who know more about these things and explore your mind.
Also learn allot in school and don’t end up like me without knowing how to write. Cause I've got allot of ideas for my stories in my head, I can even act them out, and I remember them real well.
but I can Wright them at all, cause I suck at writing. I can only draw my stories not Wright them.
I've been trying lately trying to write them but my grammar is bad..
Maybe I should be a children Illustrator not a story writer.

Uhm... Thanks guys... I don't know anything about the "Posts:" thing since I just signed up though I have been visiting this forum since last year. (ever since the Raven Chaser break out)
And about the novel, I'm just asking for additional tips and ideas. I have been writing lots of stories and I have used the best tricks I could think of. I couldn't use the same trick twice in my new novel that's why I wanted to have the other's POV on what I could or should write. Anyway, thanks for reminding me about a quality a great author must have. But I'll still be asking your ideas, if you have. Thanks again...
