Moving to Off-Topic, but yesh, we already discussed this. The release was headed by an ex-staffer (who had no participation in any actual releases here) so it shouldn't be too surprising--I am very beloved, as usual. I remember watching this case ages ago and think that the criminal may have been (the spoiler tag has actual possible spoilers in it this time!)...
...and if so, the joke would have some grounding in sensibility. Otherwise, randomness--unless I really am cruel, which is news to me. I doubt my little heart can take much more if so!

But in all seriousnessnessness, I'm more surprised that so few people actually even watched those episodes. True, someone had to mention it on the forums for even me to know of it (and yet I still didn't watch it, shame on me), but it makes me wonder if those that go mental wanting episodes in order truly are that minute vocal minority...

I think one thing that didn't help it is that the release got very little promotion. I pretty much know when things come out via forum posts, and the only thing I even saw about those two episodes being released was in TheQuyen's thread, which not everyone checks, and nowhere else. And if you're wondering about so few people saying anything about your subtitled cameo, I think it's one of those situations where people see it but are just too lazy to point it out.

Unloved and underappreciated!!! OK, maybe not...

In many cases I had seen eps pre 500 on other streaming sites long time ago, (detectiveconan.us used to be one I think) but didnt have the files. I am currently just downloading all available eps and sometimes just highlight a bunch on VLC to watch in random orders. So in actuality order would have been great if it could have been maintained for years but at this point it's fairly moot =/.
