I thought I'd throw this in since we seem to be in the process of finding out a bit about each other ("Introduce yourself"-, where everyone lives-, usernames-threads, etc)

Mine's simple - and this is why I like following Ran and Shinichi's relationship - i've been separated from my gf for 4yrs, seeing each other only 2 or 3 times a year for a week or so on each occasion. She lives and works in Japan while I'm based in Australia. Quite tough, but hanging in there. I'm still looking for a way to return to Japan.

Your examples don't have to be this personal, it can be anything...

Yes -- yes I can!  On December 8th, my friend was dealing some drugs and other things at the corner of a street in which I won't name and I caught some teenager spying on my friend who was dealing the drugs.  I was behind him and I was, in turn, spying on the spy.  So, needless to say, I saw the opportunity.  I took a pipe next to me on the ground, I sneaked up behind him, and I hit him in the back of the head with the pipe.  Then I called my friend over to inform him of the teenager, and, as I am to give punishment for this spy, my friend gave me some weird drug that I have never seen before -- though I have never tasted it even -- and I put it into the high schooler's mouth.  We both ran far away then and for some odd reason, we never saw the kid again.

In that way, I can relate to Gin maybe.  So, happyz~!

Sonoko. I like looking at guys a lot. I get interested for a little bit, and then lose interest after I've been in a relationship with them or find out that they're a dick-head. She's about the same way I believe. *Nods.*

I can relate to Haibara's weird sense of humor and pessimistic attitude.

Also, there are plenty of people like Sonoko. =P

I'm not good around people. Most of the time I'm just at the side listening but not talking. I'm somehow apathetic. I'm like Haibara 
No wonder my fave chars almost always have the same personalities XD

I saw someone in Vegas who looked EXACTLY like Akai Shuichi. He glared at me and I felt exactly like Haibara. Without realizing it, I was widening my eyes and shivering. The guy was really tall, too, so I felt like a little kid.

whoops didn't see this reply. '^^ The Akai Shuichi look-alike didn't do or say anything to me. Our eyes met and for a brief moment, and we passed each other. He was kind of good-looking, too. hahahaha.
