as I was typing that up, yeah I immediately thought of "the floor is made of lava", but no, I haven't.
if anything in real life influenced that portion, I'd guess it's due to an ingrown toenail that makes walking sort of painful, which makes me currently like sitting a lot more. I, however, don't own any purple or leather sofas.
also, just remembered that there was one portion of the dream where I was in an overworld field where it was top-down video game graphics, and we got attacked by a Dragon-Warrior style Golem as we passed through these gates, but I don't know what that had to do with the rest of the dream.

(7/13) edit: Well, another dream, but I'm not gonna bump the topic for it
had a dream where I had some wish, I forget what it was, but then this guy appeared in front of me, claiming to be a god who could grant my wish, to which I was like "hell yeah!". But in typical mischevious wish-granter fashion, the wish had horrible side effects and somehow managed to destroy the entire town I was in and reduce it to rubble. Then the god disappeared, and I felt myself become imbued with the wish-granting power, as I'd become "the new god". I knew that as soon as I granted someone's wish I would disappear (or perhaps just return to normal, I wasn't sure), but nevertheless I had an insatiable urge to grant someone's wish, so I went touring around the city (while doing mischevious god things).
then I come across this construction site, where a bunch of workers in hard-hats are cleaning out rubble. As I'm passing by one, I hear him curse and then mutter something to himself to the effect of "I wish none of this had ever happened!" and so I walk over to him to tell him I could grant his wish. But as soon as I touch his shoulder and he turns to me, I see visions of when I was granted my wish, and when I look at his face, I recognize that he's the god who gave me my wish, before he ever became a god. I'm not sure how I would have granted his wish (perhaps throwing him back into the past), but I realize that he originally got his godly powers from me, that this has all happened many times before, and that if I grant his wish again, I'll just be fueling the time loop even more. So I let go of him and run away to try to find out how to get rid of my power and break the cycle.
I don't remember the part up to it, but the dream ended with me in some sky-booth during deep sunset (maybe it was a ferris wheel?) sitting next to this cat-wizard-shaman who I was consulting as to how to no longer be a god. Well, I'm pretty sure they were a cat, they didn't look anything like a cat, but in my mind, I knew... they were definitely a cat.
