That's why I try to abstain from food that'll give problems to my throat. In that case, try some things that can help your throat? Got no suggestions here though. They do sell those lozenges good for the throat right? lol I don't know how effective they are.
Since you're singing in the church then pray that your throat will get better at the same time

Not exactly, I just enjoyed singing since young. And the habit hasn't exactly been affected over the years. So if I spend a week without singing, I'll get very uneasy. Too used to having regular outbursts in my room hahaha
XD I couldn't survive without singing something... My parents get driven insane after a while, but they love me for it. XD

The only scenario where I can imagine people getting annoyed by that (as long as you're hitting the right note, which I'm sure you are) is that even when you're talking you use those high notes
