Re: Today's Bad Stories !
Not exactly today, but yesterday. We had an 'adventure'.
The left rear tire went flat while we were out running errands. Archi is not all that great with car-stuff except the driving. Me? I can't even drive a car. (Although I do know how to put gas in it, because Mom decided that all of us were going to learn that at about 13, before I found out I couldn't handle driving.)
My immediate response to seeing the flat tire was "Call triple-A." (We have an AAA membership.) Archi did not want to do this, because apparently he figured that they'd just tow it or something. (?) So we dragged the spare out of the trunk and started trying to work out how to change it out. I kept suggesting that he call someone for help. Finally convinced him to call a friend of ours who is good with cars and lives not far from where we were. So I left him doing that while I went into the shop to accomplish the errand we were there for. Friends arrived while I was shopping, and they managed to get all the lug nuts off but couldn't get the actual tire to come off. At that point they managed to talk Archi into calling AAA. Done with that bit of shopping, I was going to walk over to the last store I needed to visit (which was around the block) but friends volunteered to drive me there instead. So I did my last bit of shopping, while thinking that it would be funny/interesting if I ran into my MIL. This was a reasonable possibility because I was at a grocery store near her home, which I know she shops at (we've bumped into her there before). Fortunately I did not see MIL, because I think she would've freaked out a bit about Archi being stuck because of the tire.
Unfortunately I could not actually get everything that was on my list, as there were only two bottles of the brand/type of milk we buy available. Both bottles were labeled 7/31. No way I'm buying half a gallon (~2L) of milk on the sell-by date. The only other bottles of that brand were half-and-half (not good for cereal) and skim (which is little more than water with milk-colour in it). So no milk.
By the time I got done with the shopping, though, AAA had arrived and they got the tire switched out for the spare. The friend Archi usually picks up on the way to work got to drive instead, and will again today because Archi did not manage to get the tire replaced. (Donut is not good for highway travel and Archi's workplace is too far away to take back roads and get to work on time.)
I'll have to go get milk tomorrow. I was out places with a friend today, and Archi went to bed late and wasn't up when I got home around 7p. (I promptly shook him awake and made him get up, since he has to leave for work around 9:30.)

I have finally started to actually publish my story! For the moment, expect a new chapter each month.
The Case of the Midnight Channel
"When a strange letter summons the Mouri family to Inaba, Ran is expecting a case. She's not expecting it to involve the TV, though.
If Naoto investigated everyone who came to visit Inaba, she'd have little time for real cases. When Yukiko reports that the Midnight Channel is back, however, she starts to wonder if the visitors are connected. Especially when the image clears, unveiling yet another mystery."

Short version: I'm taking various DC/MK characters to Inaba (where Persona 4 takes place) and dropping them through the TV to face their Shadows!

Re: Today's Bad Stories !
It's hard to hear about dying people who is forced to suffer for months before they die when they know there's no chance of getting better. It just gets harder when you hear they want to die already so they won't have to live through that all suffering. And worst part is that I can't blame them and wish that they'd die as well so they won't suffer.
I love them like hell but I still want them to die. It feels insane, messed up.
I can't sleep and I'm supposed to get up for my first school day in a few hours... Lovely
Good thing I have a dog that thinks choking me will comfort me... He really should learn to cuddle without choking people. Stupid, but wonderful dog.

Conclusion: "This area is full of crap" and "It's a nasty place!"
