I need to get milk tomorrow. One way or another. Probably by walking out to the market, because Archi needs to sleep and also needs to get the car looked at, and the other grocery that I can walk to doesn't sell the brand of milk I drink. So no cereal tomorrow, unless I decide to walk out there before breakfast. Which is probably not going to happen. I forget if they open at 6 or 7...
We were going to get milk yesterday, but 'adventure'... and the shop had only two bottles of the type of milk we buy, both marked 7/31.
I have finally started to actually publish my story! For the moment, expect a new chapter each month.

The Case of the Midnight Channel
"When a strange letter summons the Mouri family to Inaba, Ran is expecting a case. She's not expecting it to involve the TV, though.
If Naoto investigated everyone who came to visit Inaba, she'd have little time for real cases. When Yukiko reports that the Midnight Channel is back, however, she starts to wonder if the visitors are connected. Especially when the image clears, unveiling yet another mystery."

Short version: I'm taking various DC/MK characters to Inaba (where Persona 4 takes place) and dropping them through the TV to face their Shadows!

@Miaka
So you drink full milk(No cream taken away). That is quite surprising as in Finland people normally buy milk that has 3.6% of fat or milk without fat. As my family has farm and cows, we don't buy milk. We have fresh milk and we take it to 5l container. We use a lot of it.
But what if you live alone. Don't you have smaller bottles than 2l

"Whole" milk actually means that it retains about 4% of the fat. "Low-fat" will have between 1% and 2% (the bottle will be marked to indicate which), while skim is less than 0.5% milkfat.
I live in the city, so I have to buy milk at the store. I buy milk from a local dairy, because I like the taste and the knowledge that I'm supporting local farmers. ('Local' food, to me, means it was grown somewhere in the state.) The milk comes in thick glass bottles (heavy, but they feel really nice and are eco-friendly because they go back to the dairy to be sanitized and re-filled). Most people will buy milk by the gallon (a little short of 4L) here. Because my family is smaller, we buy half-gallon (about 2L). Sometimes we'll pick up a quart (~1L) instead. The dairy also sells half-and-half, but only in the quart bottles. (US is backwards and uses the confusing Imperial System of measurements. 1 cup is roughly 250mL. 2 cups in a pint, 2 pints in a quart, 4 quarts in a gallon.)
When I lived alone, I used to buy quart bottles of milk, or sometimes half-gallons. I liked to drink milk... though now I tend to drink more tea and less milk. Now, there are 3 people in my household. Milk goes on cereal, or in baking (except it has been too hot to bake lately) or sometimes I drink it straight.
And yes, I did get milk. Actually I sent Archi to get the milk while I picked up a prescription.

OMM: Saturday is my birthday. (33) No, I have not made a birthday wish-list (brother keeps poking me about that) and I don't really have much in the way of specific plans. Since Saturday is when we usually get together with friends for Game (tabletop RP), we will see friends that day. Plans have been switched such that we (Archi & I) will be hosting Game for the foreseeable future. (Eramis was hosting before, but his house is far away from half the group, and down a bunch of twisty roads. Nobody liked having Game at Eramis' place except Eramis. So now Game will be at our place because we're the only other ones who don't have cats. Archi is allergic to cats.)
The rest of the group doesn't care for my baking anymore, because the GF stuff doesn't taste quite the same. Archi and I are used to it by now (so much better than migraines), but the others don't have to eat GF. So I am thinking that I will make one b-day cake (or possibly cupcakes, we'll see) for my household, and then buy a cake from the bakery for friends to eat. That way, everyone gets tasty cake and I don't get an untasty migraine. Thing is... what should I have the bakery write on the cake? (I am not at all sure friends will remember that it's my b-day, and I don't really mind all that much.)

How about cake without text? It can have topping (like strawberries)
And I am surprised that you have glass bottles, not plastic ones. And ofc glass is better but I thought that it was in plastic bottle. Probably seen it in movie. In Finland we have 1 and 1,5 litre cartons (yes, cardboard) and small 2,5 dl carton. These are recycled.

Only the milk from the local dairy comes in a glass bottle. Everything else is in plastic or cardboard.

OMM: trying to figure out the plan for today and tomorrow, and a meal plan for next week so that I can order everything from the grocery store. (Grocery has a 'to go' thing where they'll go pick up everything and have it ready for you.)
Also still trying to decide what to do about birthday, especially with family.

がんばって!

OMM: Ok, grocery order placed. Opted for pre-made cake w/out writing because ordering a special one would require a separate trip since they can't have it ready for me today.
And friends might or might not be coming over. Apparently there is some level of confusion over that, but at least 1-2 of the people will not be coming, possibly 3. There are only 5 other people in our gaming group, and that is counting someone who doesn't always play. So there's a possibility that only two of our friends (the ones who live on the other side of the same city we live in) will be able to make it. That isn't enough to have Game. Might tell them to come over anyhow and we'll do something else. Maybe a one-shot? But with only 3 people (4 if Keeper joins in) playing, that's kinda tight. (One person has to GM.) Eh, we have board games, we can pull out one or more of those. Something.
Have a sorta vague plan with family in the evening, in that they'll come up to my city and we'll go out to eat... somewhere. Haven't planned out where yet. Of course, out to eat on a Saturday night could be a bit of a trick... at least this will be only 6 people (Me, Archi, Mom, Dad, and bros 2&3) instead of the 10-12 it usually is with Archi's side of the family...

I was gonna recommend Little King's Story now that it's on PC but apparently the PC port isn't good. That legitimately upsets me. :(

Oh yeah, I've heard of that band(?). I think they were at The Game Awards a year back? Shame they joined the Breakerz club of failed spelling. Might as well just call them Chive Arches.
