What's on your mind?

If you have some randomness to share that you can't post elsewhere, this is the place to do it.

Y'know, it is (or maybe was) a big cliche to point out that Alanis Morissette did not know what irony is but she did have that one song that was filled with intentionally ironic statements for the verses. And I think both of those songs are on the same album. Weird...

Depends on how you see it:
If you mean cases to solve stuff like codes then he probably doesn't...
If you mean cases to teach non-Japanese fans stuff about Japanese foods/culture/habits/language then yeah he did make some of those :P

Yeah, I've certainly learned all kinds of things from Conan...
Today I was with a friend at a Japanese market, and we were looking at Ramune flavors. <J> What's yuzu? <me> It's sorta like a lemon. I forget where I heard that, though. <J> Probably not from Conan, then. <me> Might have been from Cooking With Dog....
I have finally started to actually publish my story! For the moment, expect a new chapter each month.

The Case of the Midnight Channel
"When a strange letter summons the Mouri family to Inaba, Ran is expecting a case. She's not expecting it to involve the TV, though.
If Naoto investigated everyone who came to visit Inaba, she'd have little time for real cases. When Yukiko reports that the Midnight Channel is back, however, she starts to wonder if the visitors are connected. Especially when the image clears, unveiling yet another mystery."

Short version: I'm taking various DC/MK characters to Inaba (where Persona 4 takes place) and dropping them through the TV to face their Shadows!

Not working :( It's kinda sad that fixing costs so much that it's better for me to buy new one.

Practicing blind typing with ten fingers. I'm slowly getting better at it, but man...
Maybe once I'll stop mixing i o or u (or other letters close together).
I already did pretty well writing this bit though.

Practice. And making sure your hands land in the right spots along the home row.
I am reasonably good at it, but I'm pretty sure that's mostly because I've been touche-typing for more than 20 years.

Mrr.... trying to find out more about breast reduction and debating if I want to try to get one. Try being the operative word, because due to my heart condition (I was born with a funky heart, it isn't put together the normal way) I might not even be able to get the surgery. That part requires both the approval of my cardiologist and finding a plastic surgeon willing to work around it.
On top of the simple issue of other medical concerns, will my insurance cover it? One would think so, as it can be proven medically necessary (I have back problems). Then again, this is US insurance companies we're talking about, so that's never really a given.
Of course, setting aside all the medical and financial concerns, there's the rather more basic decision of whether I actually want to go through with it, considering the risk/reward factor and side effects, as well as what size I'd choose to be if I do go through with the reduction. That sounds kinda silly, doesn't it? But I've been 'busty' my entire adult life. I can vaguely remember days back in sixth grade or so when I'd go to school without a bra. That stopped before I started 7th, because by that point I was big enough for it to be noticeable if I didn't have support. By the time I turned 20 (summer 2003) I was past a plain D. I can't remember exactly how far past, but at least into DD or DDD. (I'm using US sizes because that's how I buy my clothes and I don't know the sizes in other countries.) How much of my identity is wrapped up in knowing that I'm busty? What will I lose if I change that? What will I gain? Is it worth the effort? Is it worth the probable scarring, when I already have a major scar on my chest? (Heart surgery, the scar runs vertically along my breastbone, between my breasts.) Will it really help with my back? Honestly, there is just so much to think about, so many different angles to consider...

TL;DR: Miaka is agonizing over a decision about breast reduction surgery.
