Happy New Year. I feel it will be a good one (well more accurately, I have little choice but to make it a good one...)

No one plays mafia anymore.
2016 should just have people focusing on Ace Attorney and Legend of Zelda's 30 anniversary, clearly.

OMM: The forums remain unchanged for me so tbh I don't know what time anything was posted :V
Very confusing and there's no point to changing it because I'll be back on the 11th

Skyfall has been on about three times in the last two weeks and Star Wars had about three adverts linked to it (Subway, some printer, and another?) before it aired in the cinema. Just slightly overkill (then again, I've seen Star Wars branded water so idk anymore).

I just saw Star Wars tonight, so....
Spoiler:
I basically agree with all of the things mentioned thus far, regarding the female characters getting to be actual characters and the semi-conclusive ending. I mean, anyone who didn't expect a trilogy out of this was dreamin' (or having a nightmare, more likely). I'm glad to see Star Wars crawling out of the hole the prequels dug. I'm loving everyone so far, including Kylo Ren - and manga's nickname for him, which I can't remember right off. I do think we need force-ghost Anakin to go and have a chat with his grandson, since I'm pretty sure he wouldn't approve of his actions. BB-8 was adorable, especially when stuck next to R2-D2 (whom I've always loved). Droid hero-worship. So cute.
I had heard someone was going to die, though I wouldn't let anyone give me clues, short of assuring me it wasn't Chewy, so I wasn't too surprised it turned out to be Han, though it was really sad. I still love C-3PO, as annoying as he sometimes can be.
If Rey isn't Luke's daughter, I'll be in shock. Also, I really want Poe to be her brother, though that's not likely. Twins can just run in the family, right? Finn was fantastic and reminded me a lot of Han back from IV. Very much not wanting to get into the fight, but getting himself into it anyway.
Han's trash compactor/garbage chute comment made me laugh. A lot. Probably more than it should have. Anyone else think he was a bit bitter?
Obviously, I just saw the movie, so I'm still running on the fumes of hype, but I can't think of anything about it I didn't like. I wouldn't have minded some force-ghost cameos, particularly Yoda, but I didn't really expect them anyway. Haha.

I might wake up early and go running. I also might wake up and win the lottery. The odds are about the same.

Spoiler: Star Wars stuff
I kinda loved Han explicitly invoking the original trilogy a lot, from the trash compactor thing (you KNOW he's always wanted to throw someone else in there) to him apparently using the first Death Star as an excuse for everything (tell me Luke and Lando haven't done the same thing though) and him basically all through the discussion of Starkiller base--he says "so we destroy the shield generator!" in a "c'mon, guys, we actually have a playbook for this kind of thing!" way XD

I know in the EU Han and Leia had three kids, two of whom were twins, but I think the boy half of the twins was the one who went dark side XP I really don't want Rey, Finn and Poe to be related at all because, personally, OT3 :P Rey turning out to be a Skywalker feels inevitable, but I still kinda hope they've got something less predictable up their sleeves.

I can't remember what I nicknamed Kylo Ren but I know "Crylo Ren" has gotten pretty popular because he's self-evidently such an emo.
Also, I am somewhat enjoying Carrie Fisher slaying assholes who keep judging her for daring to not look the same as she did in 1977, but more than anything else I really wish those people would just stfu forever. It's amazing how they're not giving Mark Hamill shit for aging into some kinda hobo king, or Harrison Ford for being a wrinkly mess...

Technically, there's cracky fic where that happens? Exhibit A :V.

Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright has slowdown. Every time I think about it, the more inexcusable it is.
