What's on your mind?

My homework for my Storytelling in Convergent Media is to play a video game for at least three hours and then create a narrative about what happened in those three hours. I love this class so goddamn much.

So this morning I woke up to find out that Marion, one of my lecturers, died last night, and now this... now I'm feeling scared that bad news comes in threes and someone else wonderful is going to be dead by the end of the day Q_Q

For the record: Snow + Texans = massive traffic issues. Between accidents (more than 100 today in just my city), people stranded, and snow that turns into ice very, very quickly... I missed work today. And likely will again tomorrow. Which will make the whole week, unfortunately. The only days it's been nice this week were the days I was already off, of course.

I might wake up early and go running. I also might wake up and win the lottery. The odds are about the same.

Clearly I was taking the wrong classes.

So I assume if you play a JRPG it would be basically be cheating right? :V

IDK. Just throwing the lecturer a link to my AO3 profile is probably cheating, though :P

But actually it has to be a really recent game and it's part of our discussion on video games as a narrative art form so idk... I might just write about Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons because that still has one of the most fantastically constructed narratives I've seen in a video game even as it punishes you for having emotions.

I still need to play that. Heard a lot of good things about it.

Too much handheld gaming these past few months = Cider's brain having no idea how to adjust to multiple actions going on on the big screen. Played The Order 1886 for an hour and holy hell I'm nauseous.

Also tried shareplay with the K boy. He said it's not too much lag and stuff. Yay!
