Today I passed a very difficult exam (I've been studying for a month and a half) and my two-week holiday started.

My little brother just got an unconditional offer from Napier University, which was his number-1 choice Alway knew he was a brainy wean! So proud of him! <3
came home only to find out that power was out for the entirety of the apartment building, and I was like "nooooo"
until I got back in my room and realised my USB flash drive was still blinking, so I turned everything on and it turns out my apartment still has power \o/
Finally made it to one of my classes today, and it turned out to be Steve riffing on Twilight for two hours because "the vampires are shit and the sexual symbolism is less subtle than a porn movie". I can live with only attending this class this week.
Classes where I teach were cancelled today because of a water main exploding in one of the dorms. :x
The bad side: Hundreds of poor college kids were dragged from their beds at four in the morning and had to stand shivering outside the dorm in their pajamas for a while. I do not have a sense of humor about this, as I vividly remember having to do the same thing when I lived in the dorms, since they used to do surprise fire drills at 2:00 in the morning.
The good side: Students and faculty get the day off! \o/
