I don't know about you, but I still see MJ's name evrywhere in the news and all the stations I listen to they throw in a MJ song like every hour, sales are sky high and tributes are taking place everywhere.

It's no wonder; they're all good songs, after all. :P

Billie Jean is still one of my all-time favorite pop tunes.

Well, there have been many celebrity deaths recently.  Once Billy Mays dropped like a fly, the Michael Jackson death publicity seems to have hushed for the most part, aside from child custody and autopsy reports.

MTV was doing something like that the first couple days after his death, playing all of his old music videos, even from when he was on Soul Train as a kid.  I've also been getting alot of MJ music on my local stations, though his songs almost always have great replayability.  It's good that people are being exposed (or reexposed) to his music.

I think it's human nature not to appreciate something/someone until it's/they're gone.

Correct.

I remember my uncle's joke:
"Actors, actresses, artists, and the like, have two choices to become famous. Either they die or be involved in a scandal. Michael Jackson is beyond famous, because he did both, as to others before him."

I don't really care about anything the news says. All i knows is that when he was alive they always badmouthing him, now he is dead they remenber that he was the one who gave the most money in order to help other. They are just hypocryte. For me MJ was/is one or even the best singer of these past years. He was the one who really care about his fan, and was really kind.
For the accusation IMO he was not what they said. This child parents just want his money that's all and it won't be the first time that some people lied on a celebrity for money. He has work with a lot of child in clip and none of them accuse him.
