Was trying to go with "illegal vs. legal" there. Though then again alcohol is legal.
Basically, if you consume a lot of drugs or alcohol in one night, it might kill you pretty soon. If you do so with cigarets, it'll probably make your life shorter, but it wouldn't kill you in the next 24 hours.
