North America. So uneventful where I live.(The state, that is.)
I might be wrong, but I assume Conia means to the ACTUAL America (in his case: South America)

1) Yes
2) No
3) Maybe
4) Banana
Not nice  :'( Life is kinda busy at the moment, especially with Berklee and the novel....
While it's true that some of the latest polls were a bit dull, I see nothing wrong with polls such as 105 or 103.

Bottom line is: Even Little Kuriboh had some bad days, and I don't want to make anime/pokemon/Abs. poll every three polls

Exactly, America is the whole country. North Americans are called Americans because of an English story that I can't recall now...

not just that, but they're connected by such a small sliver of land that they pretty much look like separate continents for the most part anyway.

"Ancient Greek thinkers subsequently debated whether Africa (then called Libya) should be considered part of Asia or a third part of the world. A division into three parts eventually came to predominate. From the Greek viewpoint, the Aegean Sea  was the center of the world; Asia lay to the east, Europe to the west and north, and Africa to the south. The boundaries between the continents were not fixed."

yeah me, I know, right?

Besides, that website's called "straightdope", he certainly sounds like a straight-up dope.

'cause he's WRONG. It's the Viking answer.

Yes I'm aware the site is actually very good and informative.

Of course over the course of history there are countless people who would picked the much more "interesting" answer over the "boring and practical one", someone said "A good story is better than the facts" and "Truthiness is a kind of truth after all"

Good for you ^_^

They are wrong, because everyone knows that the Aegean Sea isn't the center of the world.
China is the center of the world.
