And ever since that day, you have only stolen money from kids!alicetama wrote: I'm voting for option 2, then. I stole 5 bucks from my aunt while I was in Seattle, then told my mom about it.... and she was EXTREMELY pissed she said that stealing money from adults is VEEERY bad. She yelled at me, and the computer was taken away from me for a week. I also had to send an apology letter to my aunt.

The only trouble with this poll is that you're assuming that everyone has only ever committed a crime once, if at all.
There should be cases where people would reply: Yes, once I was caught; the second time I got better at it but still admitted it to someone, and the third time no one knows where I hid the body.

Well, I'm not expecting people to share their life stories. If someone committed several crimes, then he can choose which he wants to share, if he wants to share at all.Abs. wrote: The only trouble with this poll is that you're assuming that everyone has only ever committed a crime once, if at all.

It's not like I'm an agent from a secret organization and the only reason behind these random polls is to build personal profiles for each member in this forum and then discover their real life identities and then arrest them for these crimes

And no-one was ever caught. Good thing we learned how to plot perfect crimes by watching DC.

You didn't say WHAT it was. So, unless you specify I'm gonna assume it was something so atrocious, even Hitler would be ashamed of it.

Re: Random Poll of the Day! (42)
Let's see - when I was little (probably around 7), I stole a packet of Kool-Aid from the grocery store (pink lemonade flavored, if I remember correctly). I confessed to that to someone, though I don't remember who. I didn't get in trouble for it though because that person was younger than me, and never told my mom. (Actually, Commi may have been that person...)
In middle school, I wrote on the bricks of the school building during lunchtime. Several times. And I didn't get caught or confess to it - but I did have accomplices.
I skipped class once, but that's not really a crime, is it? (I hung out in the library because I didn't like the substitute we had. The librarian didn't even realize I wasn't supposed to be there because I usually spent most of that class in the library anyway.)
I carried a knife in my backpack in high school for about a week. And a lighter. I got caught with the lighter, but not the knife. Not sure of either of those are considered crimes or not.
I honestly can't remember anything else. I might still have a library book that's several years overdue? Yeah, I'm kind of a pathetic criminal.

Re: Random Poll of the Day! (42)
I took a candy from a shop when I was a child, I was caught and was put in a tiny office while the clerk said he was phoning my parents and the police. After a while (don't know how long, it felt like forever) my mom came and fetched me and we apologised to the clerk. Then when we got back she talked to me and said it was wrong, she didn't yell or anything but the disappointment in her eyes it was horrible. Later my dad came, believing he was gonna yell at me or even worse be as disappointed as mom I hid behind the sofa. He found me and asked why I was hiding and when I told him why he said "As long as you apologised and realise it was wrong it's fine now, just don't do it again. Come now, I bought a cake since it's your nameday today." And somehow that was even worse than the disappointment, him being so nice to someone who didn't deserve it, to a lowlife criminal.. Suffice it to say I was crushed, first the fear, then the disappointment and then the undeserved niceness. Since then I've been strictly on the right side of the law, just thinking about shoplifting makes me feel like puking. And I do believe dad knew how I would react to what he did, I don't even have a nameday so it had to be calculated.
So option three it is.

I don't remember much, but my parents told me that I stole a yoyo from Japan like.... 12 years ago. I remember that there are two yoyo's and I wanted both badly but my parents said I could only have one so..... I gave them one and hid one. LOL.
Maybe they hadn't this security thing yet... or maybe my parents paid for me back then.

I voted option "Yes, but I admitted it."
When I was a kid, I stole this small plastic toy I found in the super market.
But it was already open. So is that considered theft?
Also, don't know if these are really considered crimes.
But I've trespass on property and solicited. I've littered on the streets on New York (as a kid and my aunt told me if I was caught, I would have to pay a fine), and other small stupid things.
