But some of the workers believe he is getting ideas above his station, so the strength of Akonyl's love will be tested through constant conflict. This will all be explored in a 25-episode arc, at the end of which the queen bee will have to choose whether to execute Akonyl or marry him.
The saddest thing is that some anime have even crazier concepts than that.

DAMN YOU AKONYL! YOU SPOILED THE ENDING! THERE ARE SPOILER TAGS YOU KNOW!
Don't worry, when the anime is actually released they'll cut that ending out for a moe ending (against my will), to cater to that whole crowd who wants to see a dude get together with a bee. In this ending, there will be a montage of scenes showing how "kawaii" and "sugoi" living in a colony of bees is.
You'll have to buy the DVDs to get the intended ending, which will just be labeled as a "special feature".
