If that were to happen, I think it would be more obvious that Heiji transformed into a child. His dad is the Head of the police, so he would send an army of police officers to find Heiji. And anyways, I don't think Shinichi would meet with Heiji to try and challenge him to see who is the better detective, so they might not meet.
