Yes and no. I know the age of the USA, whether you count from 1492 or 1776, but I don't know how old Scotland is. It's been a single political entity since before the year 900, I think, but before that I really don't know.

dunno why you'd count from 1492 anyway, not like Columbus landing in the Bahamas caused the US to pop up instantly

Some people count the age as the USA from 1492. I'm not sure why. It was all colonies until the Declaration of Independence.
